For Students Only - Pittrodrie Street Aberdeen

The staff on site did their best to accommodate the weird situation of having short term guests staying with them when that's not their usual routine. The location was very convenient for my needs.

This is a student dormitory, but with internal layout making it feel more like a prison. Rooms are stark white along with the hallways. Beds, bedding, and towels are very low quality. The kitchens do not have basic cooking utensils or oven mitts. Moreover, the pictures on Booking.com show a different building in Aberdeen owned by the same company and are not representative of the actual facility. "Ava and Team" appear to be fictional characters designed to make a soulless corporate operation more appealing as they outsource all communications to a third party team at Lavanda. They also ask all guests to submit to an "AI" background check in order to confirm the reservation, even after you have already received booking confirmation from Booking.com. After a week of messaging and being given the runaround by the Lavanda team on their behalf, I finally received confirmation that they would make an exception to their usual invasive screening process and allow me to check in as one normally expects, presenting ID upon arrival. I do not recommend staying here if you can afford anything else.

Terrible communication I’ve sent six messages two days before I’ve as due to checkin and contacted them the telly hem I didn’t want a ground floor room and they assigned me a ground floor room which was a disabled room I didn’t want or need. They did not reply to any of my messages to cancel the booking and ended up charging me fully a room o did not even check in to or stay and o ended up paying for another hotel- shockingly terrible communication and hospitality . Having to raise a case with my bank and booking.com to recover my payment - frankly awful

Good location, excellent friendly staff

The noise on a night from other residents was atrocious, barely slept any of the nights due to the screaming and shouting going on outside well past midnight.
