El Centenario Fully-equipped Home Steps to Beach

The inside was very comfortable and lots of seating. The kitchen was well equipped. Pilot light in gas oven wasn’t lit and we didn’t feel comfortable doing that ourselves.

The description says “steps to the beach”, which was why we booked a place 20 minutes drive from town. However, you can’t swim at the beach because of the sludge and seaweed along the shoreline mixed with the odd homeless person and dog poop. You could also smell the seaweed from the house when the tide was out and we couldn’t sit outside. Also, a house that is meant to accommodate 4 people only had 2 outdoor seats. We were also told to conserve water a week prior to arrival and if we used all the water - we would need to pay to refill the tank. This was concerning and we were so fearful of running out of water that we heated water on the stove!for dishes as it took a long time to warm up which was a waste of water. We did the standard things like not flushing after each pee.
