Beautiful and Comfy Palmer Gem Near Hatcher Pass

Loved this as the perfect and very comfortable start and end point to our loop road trip up the Parks to Fairbanks via Denali, and back down the Richardson and Glen. If we'd had more time there was clearly lots to do around Palmer/Wasilla itself. Immaculately clean room in an Immaculately clean, gorgeous, house, and the host couldn't have been any nicer! This is a wee gem of a place to stay in Alaska, highly recommend!

This isn't something we didn't like, but just to note that you will need a car to stay here as there are no places to eat or drink in walking distance.

Maryanne was a wonderful hostess. Her breakfasts were delicious and filling and ready at or earlier than the time requested. Though the house was in a neighborhood, there were still beautiful views of the mountains and night sky.

The only thing I didn't like was having to lug our suitcases upstairs and our private bathroom was downstairs, but there was a nice sitting room upstairs with coffee/tea, games, TV.

EVERYTHING!

The location is beautiful, we visited in August when temperatures in Alaska we in the mid-60s during the day. The team tending to the house was warm and friendly and engaging. Yet absolutely allowed for and respected our privacy.

Because of the time of year we were in Alaska, ceiling fans or AC units in the rooms would have been nice. And after our bathroom location issue was resolved, the stay was great.

The amenities provided were superb - particularly the little extras in the bathroom like face cream, shaving foam and razor, cotton balls, loads of varied shampoos and conditioners, etc. Also loads of tea/coffee available, and games and books available too. Best kitted out place I've ever stayed anywhere - better than my house! Comfortable - plenty of space to sit either in the room or in common areas. Really comfy and cosy bed. Maryanne the host was very friendly and helpful - offered us a home cooked meal (which we declined but the thought was there). Location was in rural area so was super quiet.

Great location, wonderful hostess and very clean, comfortable and relaxing environment.

I liked everything.

The house is beautiful and super cozy. The rooms are beautifully and practically furnished with great attention to detail. Nothing is missing or leaves anything to be desired. We would love to come back!
