GOLD Penthouse Room 5min to Basingstoke Hospital

The venue cancelled my booking, initially, with no explanation as to why, just a few hours before check in. I was left in a very difficult situation and had to make an expensive last minute booking for the night. The hotel offered no support or the compensation, and took no responsibility for the inconvenience (to put it lightly) caused. When I voiced my annoyance at how they handled the situation via email, they did not respond, but instead called me in the evening and we very rude - telling me to deal directly with Booking.com and hanging up. Certainly would not recommend! It's a shame because it reflects badly on small and independent hotels, pushing people to stick with larger 'reputable' companies where there is less risk.

the fact it was very hard to find, wasn't told it was on 3rd floor, no taxi service after 8pm.
