Miterdale A Wonderful Home in the Idyllic Duddon Valley

We were pleasantly surprised how big this apartment is. Plenty of room to do my yoga. Private parking at entrance, flight of steps up to the front door. Everything we needed, especially washing machine and dryer. All facilities worked well. Really good shower, constant temperature and good water pressure. Beautiful views in remote location, plenty of walking trails nearby or just relax. Clean and comfortable. Lots of maps and books about the area. Would stay again.

If anything, the sofas are getting a bit worn, but nothing to be too worried about.

Spacious property with wonderful views of the fells. Facilities in the property were good and the location was good for access to Wasdale, Eskdale and the Langdales.

The property was accessed by 16 steps which was tricky for a member of our group who is registered disabled.

The apartment was very spacious and had everything we needed. It was in a very quiet location. The caretaker downstairs was really helpful and friendly too.

Well on arrival we were greeted by massive bugs swarming around the lights at the entrance, these turned out to be Maybugs, which are only around for a few weeks. There is no garden either, which I think was mentioned, so difficult as we had a dog. The worst thing was the location, the roads are very narrow and hilly in this area and we unfortunately chose the week when they closed one of the better roads (still hilly at one point) so we had to get in and out on a very busy narrow twisty and hilly road, which our car struggled on, especially when full of luggage. It caused us so much anxiety, that we left the apartment and ended our holiday early.
