Scottish stunning home stay with free parking and pet friendly

Very clean, spacious apartment. Easy to find and park, had everything we needed, host set up a great cot for our baby to sleep in. Comfy beds, great sized bath and a good shower.

Blackout curtains in the back bedroom would make it perfect.

The flat was spotless, we were very impressed. The rooms were fairly spacious and it had off road parking. Private outdoor space where we could let the dog out (not the most doggy proof but was ok). Good stock of essentials in both the kitchen and bathroom (salt, pepper, spices, tin foil, shampoo, washing powder etc…) and Asda was a 5min walk away for anything else you might want. Location was quiet and easy to get to, close to major routes. A great base for exploring the area.

Most of these are minor but they are things we’ve had in other properties and would have made my rating go up… No bins in the bedrooms for makeup wipes/tissues etc… No dressing table or large chest of draws in either bedroom. Just inconvenient. The main thing we didn’t like was that the sofa was really uncomfortable. Despite using pillows and cushions from the bedroom, we couldn’t get comfy enough to relax. No TV in the bedrooms. Again, not a major issue but as the sofa was so uncomfortable it would have been nice to have somewhere to relax and watch something after a day of hiking. There was no local pub within easy walking distance (or we couldn’t find it if it was there). Again, not a major issue but just one to be aware of.

The apartment was in lovely condition and well maintained but what I appreciated most was the host’s responsive communication and kindness. He went above and beyond to ensure our stay was pleasant and stress-free, even calling a cab for us when I had issues with my phone. Highly recommended!
