"Pricey accommodation - broadly adequate but with drawbacks"

Easy to park. Pizza take-away and Co-Op were very close. Duns seems a very nice small town.

Not very good value for money. Had to phone to get in, as we had been given the wrong key code. Quite cramped. Curtains let in a lot of light (although there was a small bag which apparently contained a blackout curtain - didn't try to fix this up). Shower ran out of hot water after two showers, so one of us had a cold shower! Paint flaking around bathroom window. cobwebs in some corners. "bath" towels were not very large. sitting room heater would not stay on.

"It was okay but compared to other places I have booked, it was disappointing"

It was very handy for the Coop. Beds were fine as was the sofa etc. Central heating was fine as was hot water and shower. Wifi worked very well.

Did not realise how steep the stairs were to the 2 bedrooms upstairs. For older folks like ourselves that was not good. It was very wet when we were there so we were cold . Not easy to dry things except on rads. Fire only stayed on for a max. of 7 mins. TV was temperamental. It would go off for no reason at all. No clear instructions as how we should dispose of waste, recycle anything. Property information concentrated mostly on what you could do in the area, not about what was available in the property. Kitchen needed more cleaning materials- only one brush for dishes, only one tea towel. Back yard with dustbins needs improvement- all very overgrown. Did not know which dustbins to use for what.

"Historical building in interesting town."

Good location, the house was close to a supermarket and other facilities in town. It was clean and comfortable and reasonably well equipped. Historical links were interesting.

More substantial welcome pack than just tea, coffee and milk could have been provided. Soap dispenser was a bit low in bathroom. Nothing else that we can think of.

Everything was good perhaps a small table lamp in sitting area would have made it cosy as fire wasn’t working properly.
