Being charged €20 for arriving just after 9pm (due to a 3 hour train delay, which we kept the host aware of), especially irritating given they had already had €500 euros for the room we had booked but were unable to occupy for three days due to closure of Catania airport. Pool was lovely but there are local residents living within the complex who were very unwelcoming to tourists, so much so they shouted at children and reported us to management for eating sandwiches around, (but well away from) the pool, even though this was not highlighted on the very detailed rules board that she thrust in our faces! Sadly, we were then told off by the management and shortly after we were asked to leave! Beware - you will also be charged extra for towels to use by the pool and forbidden to use the towels from the room.

This property is perfectly located with a wide range of restaurants just 5-10 minutes walk away and a good supermarket very nearby. The apartment was very new, spacious, clean, well equipped and with excellent air conditioning. The biggest bonus was the lovely pool which was well-maintained and had plenty of sun beds. Terry the host was very welcoming and extremely helpful. She checked in on us to see if everything was ok and helped us when our flights were cancelled and we needed further accommodation and to find a taxi. It was also useful having private and secure parking on site. Would definitely recommend this property.

the property is located on a steep hill but Taormina is high up so I’d imagine a lot of properties are similar
