Abid the owner was one of the best hosts we had in Pakistan. He recommended us a lot of things to do around Pissan. He showed us his cherry trees, the veggie garden and even on our last day walked with us to the Cricket Stadium where the views were amazing. If you are here, don't miss this hike. (1.5h from the hotel). His wife's cooking is excellent too, so everyone is in good hands for sure. :) The place itself is really quiet, perfect place to relax after a long day's hike. There is electricity and hot water too.

My two friends and I spent two nights in the Rakaposhi Amin Hotel & Restaurant. We needed a foothold for the two-day trek to Rakaposhi Base Camp. We've arrived by taxi from Islamabad, if you leave early you can get there in a day, it's a long journey, but it is doable!!! The Guest house is in the heart of Pissan, a wonderful village at the foot of the Rakaposhi, right below the highest natural Cricket stadium in the world. The rooms are new, clean, and surrounded by a beautiful orchard. The place is quiet and conveniently located for visiting many locations. Abim and Asif's cooking is excellent. They prepare everything freshly with fresh produce, so plan your meals with them a bit in advance!!! We are vegetarians, and we have had no difficulty finding excellent dishes! The welcome's been warm. Abim and Asif, the owners and brothers, have been very helpful in listening to our requests and always finding a solution! Kindness and helpfulness are at home here!!! They have helped us to organize our departure by giving us valuable advice!!! P.S. Try the excellent tea thyme and rose petal tea!!!

Amin was an amazing host, he had great tips for the area and drove me to the starting point for the Rakaposhi Basecamp Hike and also to other places. The room is beautifully decorated and has everything you might need, with a big bed and even a seating area foe enjoying your meals. I would definitely recommend this stay to anyone planning on hiking near Rakaposhi!

From the warm hospitality to the exciting daily excursions, every moment of my 9-day stay at Rakaposhi Amin Guesthouse was filled with joy and relaxation. The guesthouse itself was charming, with cozy rooms and beautifully landscaped surroundings that allowed me to unwind and connect with nature. I found myself waking up to the gentle sounds of birdsong and the rustling of leaves, making for a serene and rejuvenating morning. If you come in the summer you can pick your own fruits in the garden, such as mulberries, apples, apricots, plums and cherries. One of the highlights of my stay was the daily excursion trips arranged by the guesthouse. Each day, I was taken on a journey to explore places of interest, such as trekking to Rakaposhi Basecamp, to Miacher Kho, to Gappa Valley, to Naltar Valley, as well as hiking at nearby villages, natural stadium on the mountain, attending the local gatherings (e.g. wedding, Haji’s return, police staff’ retirement lunch gathering and so on). From breathtaking landscapes to cultural landmarks, I was able to immerse myself in the local beauty and traditions. The staff's knowledge about the destinations we visited was impressive, and their passion for sharing the history and stories of each place added an enriching dimension to the experience. Another aspect that stood out was the delectable meals prepared at the guesthouse. Each dish was a culinary delight, made with fresh, locally sourced organic ingredients. It felt like I was being treated to a feast every time, and I eagerly looked forward to every mealtime. Without a doubt, I highly recommend this guesthouse to anyone seeking a memorable and heartwarming getaway experience in Gilgit-Baltistan. I cannot wait to return soon!

The location set in a picturesque village. The family who runs the hotel are very accommodating. I feel like I'm home away from home. Shout out to Asif and family! He is very kind and helpful.. The hotel is also where you can jumpstart all your adventure in the north like Rakaposhi basecamp, etc...
