Westerpark Cottage, Pet & Family Friendly Countryside Retreat, Aberdeenshire

Nice peaceful location but not far from Huntly.

Fabulous location. We were escaping the fireworks so this was perfect. Beautiful setting, lovely cottage, perfect for our NYE family holiday.

Possibly another sofa or two chairs in the living room but other than that, we had no complaints.

Beautiful property in excellent condition

No showers in any en-suite other than over bath. Need to cater for guests who are less able to climb in bath

The place is amazing. Well kept and well stocked with everything you could need from fire logs to outside seating areas. Would love to have had a bit of the history about the house available.

Only one teeny criticism that won't affect all travellers. My husband and son are both over 6 foot and the showers were too low for them BUT there isn't anything Heritage can do about this. The water pressure upstairs was also very low but.again, it's an old building.

We didn't meet hosts, but communication with them was perfect. The place is dreamy, magical, we observed northern lights there, and a doe. (Actually we were a little scared at night, there :) But that's part of the experience of this place.) There are tables and chairs around the house, the children were crazy about the swing above the creek. We appreciate also great selection of desk games. We were surprised little bit by the Aga heat source :) but in our next accomodation in Scotland we already missed it.

Great location to explore Aberdeenshire and Moray. Peaceful and quiet location ideal for unwinding. Facilities were good and a selection of games activities to suit most weather conditions is provided.

The website says dog friendly but there is a note in the welcome pack stating that dogs are not allowed upstairs in the main bedrooms.

What a wonderful experience the setting is amazing and the cottage feels like home. we especially love the cows coming over to wake us in the morning. We were able to do whiskey tasting all over and then have a place to relax and cook dinner at night can’t wait to come back
