"A frustrating stay with poor service and an unhelpful staff attitude."

4.0

Nothing much, other than the fact that my father was able to stay in Rajgir and spend the night somewhere.

Where to start? The location was very remote and in some forest like area. The auto rickshaw drivers purposefully lead my father around and when he finally dropped my father at the hotel, which is more of a homestay, he charged an exorbitant amount. The hotel owner did not correct the driver. Later on, there was no TV, no AC, and no other ammenities provided. My father had to ask the owner to provide an electric kettle to warm the drinking water, which the owner initially refused, after which my father had to argue with him to get it. Add to that, there was noise well after 12 AM at night, and the owner did not stop this even after my father asking him to, quoting "The people making noise are an officer and his family, and we will not stop them." Overall, the service was non-existent. One of my father's colleagues left the very next day and found a cheaper and better alternative. My father stayed, since I didn't want him wandering in search of a place to stay on the second day of his business trip.
