Step into the French Quarter

This is my 4th trip to New Orleans and it was arguably the best, thanks to the perfect location of our stay! There were lots of great places to get a meal or drink within walking distance. We were also able to walk to the aquarium, and easily get onto public transportation to shop along Magazine Street. My parents, who had never been to New Orleans, traveled with us. This was a great jumping off point for them as well- they got to see the French Quarter and get the feel of the beautiful parks and neighborhoods!

One of the showers is quite small, but we just used the shower in the main bathroom. Something of note, but we didn’t feel it was an inconvenience.

Had trouble with the air conditioning. Little to no air coming thru vents in both bedrooms. Ceiling fan in living room did not work. Did ask for another fan and one was brought over. Toilet in hall bathroom plugged up at first use. Not all electrical outlets worked

Loved the character of the home. It is clean and decorated beautifully. The wet bar was a nice amenity. The home was walking distance to most of the places we wanted to visit. The host was communicative, pleasant, and very accommodating.

This is in no way the fault of the property or the host but the parking situation in the area of the home is much less than optimal. We wish there had been a digital antenna on the tv to receive the local major networks so we could watch the big game.

It was a good distance from French market and burbon street, but in this heat(july) we had to Uber/lyft mostly. Which is pretty cheap. The house itself was super cute and the pictures def didn’t do it justice! I loved the aesthetic of the main bedroom! We only used that bathroom😂

When we first arrived at 1am the code to the door was wrong and it was very stressful but they ended up getting the right code to me quickly. The little remote in the main bedroom for the fan was a little wacky and had to rearrange the battery a couple times for it to work. The little remote in the living room for the fan and the tv remote had no battery in them. But luckily we had the Roku app on our phones so we could still use it.

The location was very convenient. It was also very individual and like that it was not generic

The car parking was difficult, only allow to park for 2 hours between 7am and 7pm.

Great house with nice decor! Location was the best!! So close to Frenchman Street, the French Market, Bourbon street, Rampart street, just overall great locale!

Not a huge fan of the shower in the master. Neat idea but really just a mess. I understand old houses have old plumbing but the toilets should really be a priority.
