Hidden Gem Canal Facing Retreat with lovely walks

Very nice comfortable stay , on the canal great for dog walks and eateries.

The location was spectacular in terms of the view and we managed to get an uber eats grocery delivery which was handy. The beds were very comfortable.

The entrance (weeds) and general maintenance was a bit shabby. The tap in the kitchen was loose and the dining table rocked. The shower upstairs leaked from the head. It would be really good to have a parasol over the table outside so we could still enjoy sitting there in the direct sunshine or rain.

Nothing it was in a great location next to two pubs. Very clean. Included smart tv downstairs and tvs in both bedrooms. The cottage was right on the canal with lovely walks

Comfortable clean accommodation, easy to locate.

Lack of hot water in ensuite, radiator knob in top floor bedroom was broken and the ground floor bathroom handle was also broken.

Cleanliness, broken door on bathroom so it was not private and the extractor did not work, freezing cold when we arrived on christmas eve afternoon, second bedroom had no door, first bedroom unusable as I have asthma and it had mould all round window and on the bay ceiling, utensils were dirty and overall the property looked very tired. For the money we paid it was disgraceful. I wouldn't have paid more than £60 a night for this property had I seen it beforehand and to be honest I wouldn't have booked it. I have no idea who has written good reviews but having traveled extensively this has to be the worst property I have ever stayed in.

Bed had a footboard - no good for tall guests
