The house is a lovely little cottage with character and charm. My daughter compared it to the Burrow in Harry Potter. It had everything we needed, it was easy to find things, and easy to work things like the heating and appliances. The toilet being on the top floor and three flights of stairs means your legs do get a work a work out but it was fine. I loved the bath, it was very deep. I also liked the blinds a lot (that sounds odd but I've not seen ones like this and they were easy to use but great for both light and privacy). The sofas were comfy we liked the table and enjoyed the games and liked the touch of a book with the history of the house. The garden was nice to sit in but it rained a bit much to use it for long. It's a few minutes walk from the harbour and shops and restaurants and pubs. There is a pub a few houses down but although it was clearly popular and you could hear people when the windows were open it all seemed very pleasant - nothing rowdy. The location is central to explore Brixham being close enough to walk to the country park on one side and fishcombe cove on the other (our three year old managed both on foot). It is hilly but worth it for the views. We were visiting for a sad reason, but managed to enjoy this beautiful town all the same. My kids loved the golden hind and some of the quirkier shops and the arcade. The cove was beautiful and the country park I suspect would have been lovely if it hadn't been heavily raining (but we enjoyed anyway it's just that sort of place). Everyone was very lovely and calm. There is also lots of interesting ww2 history if you visit the battery and read the signs on the coastal road in the Churchill gardens.

The house is on a narrow street with no space to stop really.in theory there are places to pass but it gets confusing with lots of cars going through the tight space. It was ok - we managed but it took some juggling to get everything in and out. Also this isn't really a criticism it's just the price you pay for wanting to be so central/close to the harbour in a small town like this. The only real criticism I have is the beds were really noisy! Every time you move they would make a noise some of them louder than others

Loved the decor, loved the amount of information provided by the hosts. Lots of coffee/tea and biscuits provided as well as milk which was a lovely addition. Kitchen stocked with everything you could need facility wise

Would have liked two bathrooms/an extra toilet but is a terraced cottage so would not expect with the size/space available

"Perfect for a short stay but would have been better if the garden was clean"

7.0

The property is in a great location and quiet surroundings, it’s perfect for a short break. Brixham has plenty to choose from! Loads of restaurants and bars.

The outdoor area was very dirty and the chairs didn’t look clean. Didn’t feel like we could sit outside.

"Perfect little place to explore the area."

Brilliant location. Clean, warm lovely cottage, everything supplied.

Nothing could be better. Struggled with the toilet on the top floor but that can't be helped!
