L'Angolo di Portofino

Die Unterkunfte ist geräumig, sauber und die Lage ist auch in Ordnung.

Die ganze Unterkunft ist schon in die Jahre gekommen, abgewohnt aber sauber. Leider kann bei der Unterkunfte und auch in der Nähe das Auto nicht geparkt werden. Wir mußten es im nächsten Dorf abstellen ( ca. 4 km, Preis pro Tag 40€).Portofino ist ein kleines und schönes Dorf, dass man leicht in einem Tag erkunden kann. Leider ist Portofino nur auf Touristen- Abzocke ausgelegt. Die Kellner in diversen Restaurants sind unfreundlich, das Essen ist teilweise von sehr schlechter Qualität und die Preise sind mehr als übertrieben. Wenn ich mir Portofino nochmals anschauen würde, würde ich in Genua übernachten und mit den Taxiboot nach Portofino kommen!

Allora, voglio fare una premessa: ho trovato questo alloggio molto bello, comodo per quanto riguarda il comfort (letti comodissimi, idem per il salotto) e la posizione che dire, ottima (vicinissimo alla piazzetta ma lontano dal caos serale), a piedi raggiungi tutte le spiagge e calette (ovviamente è necessario camminare un pochino, per noi non è stato un problema), MA in realtà non sarebbe da 9, più da 8 -o per alcuni da 7- (e spiegherò sotto il perché). Perché ho dato 9 allora? Perché sono fermamente convinta che abbia potenziale e che potrebbe arrivare addirittura al 10 (che purtroppo non ho potuto proprio mettere) se solo si sistemassero quelle cosine; perché è una nuova struttura qui su Booking e vedere che un alloggio così ha dei voti bassi mi spiace molto e perché alla fine il prezzo è veramente contenuto e buono trattandosi di Portofino. Tornando a ciò che mi è piaciuto: ho trovato il bagno molto spazioso e comodo; il check in è stato facile, così come la comunicazione con Virginia che gestisce l'appartamento, è gentile e disponibile. Purtroppo un paio di giorni prima della partenza hanno avuto un problema in struttura, si era rotto un letto e ce lo hanno immediatamente comunicato. Fortunatamente hanno sistemato e gestito tutto al meglio e al nostro arrivo c'erano i tecnici che stavano montando quello nuovo. Disponibili a farci lasciare le valigie anticipatamente (purtroppo non anche dopo il check-out, lì non ci hanno proprio risposto, ma pazienza). Abbiamo apprezzato anche le risposte alle nostre domande su qualche suggerimento su calette e spiagge.

Passando a ciò che non ci è piaciuto e che scrivo più che altro come consiglio agli host: prima di partire ho letto le recensioni e avendo letto molti che si lamentavano di mancati servizi o prodotti base mi son fatta furba e ci siamo portate da casa uno strofinaccio per i piatti, il sale e l'olio per precauzione. Pensavo che date le numerose recensioni che lamentavano la stessa cosa al nostro arrivo ci fosse qualcosa in più e invece con dispiacere devo dire che non era cambiato niente. Abbiamo fatto bene a portarci da casa quelle cose e ne avremmo dovute portare altre (ma una padella non ci sta nella valigia e portarsela in treno non è il massimo): in cucina non c'è sale, zucchero, olio, posate (poche), nemmeno una padella, strofinacci... insomma nemmeno le cose base che solitamente si devono trovare in una cucina. Non parlo di sale, olio ecc (che comunque non sarebbero male, dato che ci si trova a Portofino e ci sono solo alimentari dove costa tutto il triplo e per cosa? una scatola di sale per qualche giorno o una bottiglia intera di olio che non puoi nemmeno portarti a casa), ma almeno le stoviglie come una padella. C'è la macchinetta del caffè, con tre cialde, ma non sono reperibili in zona (questo è più un appunto per le persone che nel caso possono chiedere prima di arrivare la marca all'host così se le portano da casa). Non c'è proprio spazio negli armadi: nella camera padronale c'è un grosso armadio ma non si apre, pensando fosse difettosa l'apertura siamo riuscite ad aprire un'anta ma abbiamo visto che era tutto pieno di biancheria e c'era un foglio con scritto "non aprire/non usare" e abbiamo subito richiuso ovviamente. In camera una cassettiera con solo un cassetto libero. Insomma, purtroppo non c'è proprio spazio dove mettere le cose. Avendo fatto non troppi giorni non è stato un super problema per noi, però sarebbe carino poter aver un armadio.

Check-in time is rather late (16:00) and check-out time is rather early (10:00). But flat was prepared earlier. It would be great if the flat would have a laundry machine; Small things could be improved, like adding tea/sugar/oil/salt in the kitchen; to add more than 1 wine glass; ironing items; a closet in the room which can be used, not just being locked.

Lovely apartment with everything you need. Perfect location in Portofino.

Bed was broken so one room was unavailable.

No breakfasts were provided. Also, an inadequte number of coffee capsules provided for two guests for one week.

Armoire for hanging and storing clothes in master bedroom was chock-full of the unit's storage of linens. Plus, there was the vacuum cleaner, mop and cleaning bucket stored in the corner. When wrote to the agent managing the property, was told there was nowhere else to store the supplies. She did allow me to move enough for me to store my clothes in the armoire, which was needed. When asked twice about obtaining coffee capsules, never received an answer. Power cut-off in apartment twice when using the stove. No basic supplies provided like paper towels, olive oil and vinegar, etc. Most rental units provided a few basic amenities for travelers, esp in a place like Portofino where there is one little grocery store for boat owners.

There were a few issues: 1)The larger bedroom has an armoire & dresser for guests to hang and store their clothing. This was a problem because the armoire and chest of drawers were stuffed full of bedding supplies and offered no space to guests for their clothes. When the agent was contacted and asked to remove the extra bedding and towel supplies, the response was there was "nowhere to store them." So she gave me permission to move all the bedding supplies and leave them on the extra bed in the second room. 2) The agent was informed that the holder to the shower wand screwed into the wall was broken. Hence, the wand lay on the floor of the shower. She said that she was aware of this, yet made no effort to have it repaired during the week. 3) I asked twice where to obtain more coffee capsules for the Keurig machine and received no response, and no one came to provide more. About 8 capsules in total were left for 2 people for 8 mornings, and none of the local stores sold the right capsules. 4) The apartment's electricity cut-off several times when the stovetop was in use with more than 2 burners. A notice informing Guests should be posted to alert them to this. 5) The kitchen was not supplied with many basics needed by guests on holiday: e.g., kitchen towel and pot holders, salt & pepper, paper towels, napkins, olive oil and vinegar. In my many years of experience renting apartments on AirBnB and Booking.com, these are typically supplied. C'erano alcuni problemi: 1) La camera da letto più grande ha un armadio e una cassettiera dove gli ospiti possono appendere e riporre i loro vestiti. Questo era un problema perché l'armadio e la cassettiera erano pieni di biancheria da letto e non offrivano spazio agli ospiti per i loro vestiti.
