A few maintenance issues: kitchen tap either leaking or not working, no hot water in the ensuite, one shower stopped working halfway through, cabinet door felt like it was about to fall off every time the fridge was opened. No baking trays in the kitchen for cooking. Mostly though the property just felt old and a little grimy, lots of spiders and cobwebs even for an old farmhouse. Wouldn't stay again.

GBGBHale Oaks Farm is a beautiful period property. Lovingly restored preserving the original features and the architecture. Very specious. We found the huge sitting room with wood burning fireplace very cosy. There are few farm animals grazing about in the garden. We enjoyed the visit from the sheep every morning. If you’re looking for quiet countryside getaway with a large group this is ideal. Some information on the site may misleading as it says only one room and it’s an apartment. But this is a big farm house with 5 bedrooms which can be booked as whole house.
It needed little bit of TLC. We have mentioned few minor issues that can be improved to the landlord and he is taken it onboard. Hopefully things will be improved for your next visit.
