"Quaint, cozy cottage with views of Arena Cove"

9.0

My dog & I loved our stay at the Boathouse Cottage! It was quaint, very cozy, clean, comfortable, and with views of Arena Cove. We used the provided firewood to light up the fireplace & soaked in the hot tub every night (just me, not my dog :) Also grilled a tri-tip on the outdoor BBQ. The host was also very responsive to my inquiries and accommodating as well.

Not a big deal for me personally, but as others have mentioned, the water pressure in the shower is weak & it takes a few minutes to get hot water coming out after turning the knob on.

"Love it!"

9.0

As expected - wonderful! Peaceful, love location, hot tub, nice house, great hiking nearby. Love that we could bring our dog and did not get charged extra for that.

As others have said, the shower is very weak. It's not cheap but I would stay there again.

"Superb"

9.0

It was very cozy. I liked what appeared to be the historic parts of the building that remained after a remodel.

The only semi-complaint is that we brought board games and there was no table to do them on. It's a pretty tiny space, which was fine - it was very cozy and charming - so there's not room for much more than the tiny end tables by the couch. But maybe folding TV trays would have been helpful? Totally not a deal breaker though - it was still really wonderful.

"Great location in point arena. Very cute and clean."

7.0

Very clean, easy check in, easy parking, super cute furniture, hot tub was easy to use and clean, plenty of towels

Shower was a trickle and very limited hot water-actually had to take a cold shower despite running the hot water for several minutes and playing around with the knobs. Manager responsed right away but plumber couldn't come until Monday. I didn't want the trouble of showering in a different unit since it was a 1 night stay. Had it been any longer, it would have been a bigger issue.

"This is an exceptional lodging at a favorite part of the Northern Cal coast."

10.0

exceptional location on Pt. Arena. An outstanding pizza parlor and nice restaurant just below and if you're lucky the fisherman sell fresh fish on the dock there. Frankie responded immediately to our request.

minor issues- some lights out. but overall top notch.

"The cottage is charming but the plumbing/hot water/water pressure problem is not OK."

6.0

A unique historic cottage at the quiet, end of the road. . . with a lovely sea view. A tiny, cozy property with a comfortable bed. Great landscaping that creates a nest surrounded by flowers and huge ancient trees.

The hot water was so inconsistent it was impossible to have a good shower. The water pressure in the shower was very low also. There was no readily available hot water in the kitchen and bathroom sinks either. There was no place to open and use a suitcase. The cottage needs a folding suitcase stand badly. The owner was not very trusting. DO NOT go to Point Arena on a Tuesday, as almost ALL restaurants are closed! Weekends are much better!
