Lovely location. We loved the log burner.

Could have been a bit cleaner inside. Especially around the windows, including the glass. Some rubbish had been left behind in the fireplace.

"Great stay and friendly locals."

Original authentic and close to the water.

Didn’t know about the low door frames and extremely steep stairs

"Wilmar"

The location is fabulous and the house is full of character. The heating worked well and bathroom and kitchen facilities were good..The decor was good and beds comfortable. The small patio area was nice to enjoy the sun in the afternoon.

No mention when searching in the property details did it say that there were significant height restrictions and precarious stairs. I have two cuts on my head, I am 6ft, from exiting the property through the small front door. No signs, no warnings, no protection. The stairs are narrow, uneven and spiralesque. Having a 4 month old baby with us we created a human chain to get her up and downstairs because it was too risky holding her and negotiating the stairs. Getting a pram in and out was practically impossible without 2 people. I don't recall seeing anywhere that the property is only suitable for able-bodied visitors. The photos of the property flatter the actual proportions of the rooms to make it appear more spacious than they are.

"Amazing weekend with my beautiful daughters."

8.0

The location is amazing. Orford is beautiful whatever time of the year you go. Views over the water to the Ness were breathtaking in the evenings. We had a great meal and evening in the Jolly Sailor, just a few doors down. Close by we visited Snape Maltings and Aldeburgh and on our way home Southwold. A lovely part of the world with many more places to visit.

We would have liked some hand wash in the bathroom and downstairs toilet. A basket of logs would also be a good idea in the winter. The sofa was very uncomfortable and we were surprised there was no television.
