It’s a home away from home in a very relaxed environment. The orchards are lovely to walk through and the house itself was very lovely with beautifully decorated rooms We enjoyed our stay and the weather was also really great

Nothing really. It’s a farmhouse on a working farm. So one should expect to be on the farm

The house was absolutely gorgeous, straight out of a magazine. It felt so luxurious. We had everything we needed and more! It was so beautiful and peaceful on the farm and it really felt like a home away from home. The owners, Marthalie and Neels, were so kind and hospitable. They were always available when needed and treated us like family!

Neels & Marthalie (our hosts) were simply exceptional. We had a tour of the farm, and they spent great time with us taking us around. I would recommend anyone not to take 1 night....at least 2 for those who are traveling and want to experience farm life style. The place was simply magical for us from the city. We really felt at home....Great resting place. Really nice.

Absolutely nothing

Amazing attention to detail, the accommodation is so comfortable and well considered

One of the loveliest places I’ve ever stayed. Really well equipped- you could stay here for weeks. Well decorated, spotless, everything works. fresh fruit in the fridge, fresh veggies in the garden, orchards to walk through and really well thought out space that is big enough for 3 couples or a family. I think this would be super for young kids- seeing where their fruit comes from, all sorts of farming vehicles and equipment and a safe play area. The view from the patio can’t be matched, the stars at night are magnificent. Honestly I loved the farm more than I loved swellendam.

We were there in harvest season so it’s a 5am start you can’t ignore (the only reason I didn’t rate it 10). So maybe better after Feb. Alternatively, make the most of the early start and go hiking/running/cycling before it gets crazy hot in the middle of the day. It’s a farm and aspects of that might not be for everyone- (but I think that’s the best part!) and a bit out of town.
