Spacious room, comfortable beds and an easy location, close to the station, shops and restaurants.

Another hotel with limited breakfast. What annoys me is when you’re staying there with your infant child and the hotel won’t accommodate by providing anything for him to eat! Had to pay for an orange juice for him, after paying €200 for one night plus breakfast!!

This hotel is in a great location beside Takayama Station; we arrived by coach from Kanazawa via Shirakawago and it was a short walk from the bus parking lot behind the station. The old town area of Takayama is a short walk from the hotel with lots of shops, cafes and restaurants. The room was very spacious and open with two huge double beds and a tatami area with beanbags. I absolutely loved the deep round bath while my mum was in heaven sitting out on the balcony; both had a stunning view of the mountains. We only stayed for two nights and we would have liked a third as it was so relaxing and spacious. The bath/shower room is quite exposed with floor to ceiling windows; there are blinds that can be raised and lowered and I don't think anyone can really see you but I still wore a swimsuit into the bath so I could enjoy the view without worrying. You can also open a window on the balcony side to talk to someone sitting out there while relaxing in the bath! The breakfast provided is a choice between three options which you are asked to make at check in/in advance of the next morning; we both got the granola and yogurt which was very good and a coffee is also provided but just be aware there is no buffet. The reception area is also a cafe and it can be busy at times but the staff are friendly and the seating is very comfortable with outlets to plug in a laptop etc. We were able to borrow an adaptor from the front desk as my mum forgot hers and we saw umbrellas available to borrow too. Check out was very easy via a screen.

The room was so spacious but had hardly any furniture, it would be great to have somewhere to put clothes, bags etc down other than the kitchen counter. We also broke a glass on the balcony and could not find a sweeping brush or dustpan, and the staff leave at 10pm so there was nobody to ask. I cleaned it up as best I could but the kitchenette could be better equipped. The trains right under the balcony can be loud when you are sitting out there, but we could not hear them much from inside and they do stop running early enough in the night.

Super fijn hotel in Takayama! Beneden in de lobby een leuke koffiebar. Kamer was echt gigantisch groot met zelfs een balkon op 3 minuten lopen vanaf het station. Fijne locatie, konden alles te voet doen. Zeker een aanrader.
