Bright Home From Home

Easy to check in, had what we needed as a base for a few days to visit surrounding attractions. Was left tea, coffee and milk which was appreciated. Bedding was clean.

Bed in one of the rooms was broken which made for very uncomfortable sleeping. We couldn't access the WiFi, contacted owner with no response to either issue. Property is run down and there are definitely some areas that could do with care. Shower and bathroom were moldy. It could definitely use some serious upgrading and repairs. Area that it is located is definitely more of a student area so not ideal when staying at a weekend with kids.

Firstly the location is horrific didnt feel safe at all place smelt of dampness the shower was covered in mould the bed had dent in middle of mattresses the house was very old and needed fixed up have alot more photos but wont let me add !

Black damp everywhere, shower didn’t work properly, grease all on the walls behind the cooker carpet and vinyl lifting up everywhere

Don't waste your money staying there!!!

Property was full of ants in bathroom.. on toilet seat in kitchen all over surface. Kids refused to go in bathroom. All food left out it kitchen the lids covered in ants.. Absolutely appalling couldn't stay for the full days booked. Text message the number given.. no response!! Sent email messages no response. Absolute disgraceful. Beds you could feel the springs and the other bed sank in the middle. They had the cheek to ask for 5 star review.. crazy and wasted my hard earned money ! If I could give minus 10 rating I would do. Don't waste your money staying there!!!

Convenient distance for Alton Towers. 30 minute drive.

I was staying with my wife, 2 adult children and my 4 year child as we were visiting Alton Towers which was 30 minute drive away so was convenient for the theme park. I emailed the property the day before our arrival. No answer. Called the host who apologised for not answering and was helpful. When we arrived all the windows were open. The house stank of smoke. This wasn't good for a child with asthma (made him cough and wheeze) and an adult son with tourettes (fumes set his tics off). Under the floor cabinet in the kitchen was a sausage covered in ants. The garden was full of cigarette butts and black bin liners which cats or rats had got to as food waste on the floor. The beds were so uncomfortable. Very thin mattresses with springs digging in our back. The cutlery and plates were dirty so we washed them all up before use. We often found woodlice in the bathroom which wasn't clean. The shower water just dripped out. The house is right next to a university and on Friday night a house behind us had a party and the music and noise from the garden went on until early hours so the family didn't get much sleep at all. The heating worked well which was a positive. Just had to click it back on after 2 hours. During the night this wasn't possible as the switch was downstairs so the house was cold once in bed.

Good location

House clean,have in a kitchen everything u need.Towels,wash machine,have shop on a corner.and some shops.10 min.walk.Parking have permit.

House have 3 bedrooms with 3 double beds,but feel beds smaller not comfortable if 2 person sleep in one bed. U need be carefully where u parking u car we park end of road becouse no space we put in front resident zone parking ticket,but once we get up in a morning we got a fine,witch make me very unhappy.

Great location for Alton Towers and great value for money. Very spacious and clean; just what we needed for a couple of nights as only roughly 25 mins drive each way for the theme park. The updates and additional info was much appreciated too. Hoping to stay again next year.
