Miriam's House Pompei

Only a 3 min walk to the best entrance to Pompeii (no crowds here). Very clean, quiet and extremely well equipped (kitchen, AC, appliances, a quiet backyard with table tennis and basketball hoop). The host was wonderful - helpful and available for any questions or communication.

Very clean and spacious. They had everything we needed and a lot of nice extra touches too to make our stay very enjoyable. The hosts were fat to work with.

Good location if you want to visit Pompeii and close to bars and restaurants

Great location, close to the ruins but away from the expensive parts. A few yards down the street there is a really good pasticceria and a family run bar/diner with beer and pizza etc at sensible prices. Keep walking east for 5 minutes and you are in a main piazza beside the main church. The hosts were excellent, we were a bit late in the evening and they waited up for us on the doorstep. They also helped us with local knowledge and even gave us a nice leaving present. The property itself is spacious, spotlessly clean, a lounge/kitchen, large bedroom with one king bed and two singles to use as you like. Air conditioning throughout. Good bathroom with a nice shower. Further back leads to a rear outdoor area partly covered with a bar footy table (!) and other sports equipment. There is also another room with a second kitchen and washing machine etc.

Nothing really but just as a suggestion - in the shower it is useful to have somewhere at waist level to keep soap and shampoo etc. We don't bend down well! The wifi is a bit slow but I believe that's the provider not the owner, there seems to be good mobile signal in the area.

The location was perfect for visiting the ruins of Pompei and being in the center of town directly near restaurants and shops. The apartment was wonderful with all the needed fascilities and accomodations for our kids to play: perfect! My son loved to play basketbal. The hosts were superfriendly, had snacks ready for us, answered questions promptly about arrival and departure, and when we left even had a beautiful gift for my 4 year old daughter: she sleeps with every night (music box): Thank you!

Next door is a bar: it did not bother us since it was closed one night but if you stay during the weekend it may be good to bring ear plugs if you mind some noise. Otherwise surely a good place for a drink.

We loved how close the apartment was to the entrance of the ruins, and how convenient it was to have everything on your doorstep. My children were particularly delighted with the outdoor space: Francesco bought them a new basketball to play with, and the table football and table tennis were really welcome additions. The beds were very comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean. Francesco and his family were very attentive and helpful hosts; I would thoroughly recommend staying here.

We picked Miriam's House to be near Pompeii. Turned out it was a good half-mile to get to the entrance -- Pompeii is ENORMOUS -- but the entrance is so crowded that it was nice to have a little peace and quiet in town (and excellent meals in local restaurants). In summer, the outdoor garden would be wonderful to enjoy. We "could not get the heat to work" and contacted Daniele in a panic ... He rushed over, only to establish the heat was just a little slow. So attentive!

The apartment was a short walk to the Pompeii archaeological park, restaurants and an easy 8 minute walk to the train station. It’s very spacious, clean and has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. It would be perfect for a family stay/vacation. The hosts provided snacks, drinks and a big candy bowl!! It is the most spacious apartment that we have stayed in Italy. Our hosts were very helpful and attentive to our needs. They went out of their way to make sure that our stay was perfect. They met us and gave us a tour and also came with a parting gift the day we left.

The noise at night from the pub next door was a little loud, but it was a Friday night in Italy! The next night we didn’t notice it. Pack a set of foam earplugs, or go join in the fun.

Loved everything at this property and would highly recommend! Would happily stay again :) Excellent communication with Francesco before arriving at the property. Him and his nephew Daniele met us and showed us all the features of the property. They were very friendly and easy to talk to. You won’t get bored at the apartment! Ping-pong, PS4, board games, card games and more! The rooms were all very clean, air conditioning in the dining room and the bedroom, comfortable beds and a good sized bathroom. There were plenty of amenities too that we were invited to use. It’s the perfect location. The property is maybe a 5 minute walk to the entrance of Pompeii, a 10 minute walk from the train station and there are many restaurants and bars close by. The hosts were more than happy to give recommendations for the local area as well as Naples after we checked out. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
