Eco Sky Villas

The view is excellent, walk to the beach (across highway) is a trek! yet absolutely do-able or quick Uber service. Mattresses very good, air cond very good, kitchen good, attentive property manager, very clean.

NEEDS: more hooks for towels, stainless cookware (only non-stick) ant-bait, a COMFORTABLE sofa, need more water in fridge (only 2 bottles; but we left a case!) must be cooled down for guest arrival, lots of stairs - but still ok!

The villa is gorgeous, sparkling clean, with spectacular views of the ocean and surfers. It has good air con and the pool is small but very refreshing. It felt very safe. Note that it is about a 20-minute walk to the beach downhill. On the way back we took an Uber which was only $2 and they would come within a minute.

It wasn't right on the beach. Then again if it were it would cost double.

Communication with the host was easy and the staff were very nice. The view from the villa is stunning and if you are an early riser you will be very impressed by the gorgeous sunrise. The gated community gives you a sense of safety. The air conditioning was nice to have and necessary for a comfortable night sleep. The bathrooms were very clean. NB - The driveway is very steep and although we were told how to navigate it, we damaged our rental and was charged $200 for the repair. Be careful!

The villa was not very clean when we arrived. The windows were very dirty with smudges, fingerprints and bird poop. The kitchen counter had not been wiped down as there was obvious coffee and wine stains on them. There were stains on the couch cushions and pillows as well as stains on our bedroom sheets. There was also cleaning supplies left scattered around the villa. During our stay, we saw the staff cleaning the adjacent villa everyday so we are not sure why our villa was also not cleaned to that level. The pool is nice but is 95% shaded during the day. We were a bit disappointed as we couldn't lay poolside to relax in the sun. We had to take a swim, then hurry to the balcony of the villa to get some sun. After 1pm, the only sun you get is in the gravel driveway. This may not be important to some, but coming from a long winter, the sun was the only thing we were seeking. The villa is on a steep street and there is some construction nearby so many heavy trucks climbing up in 1st gear would pass by creating a 90 second very loud and thunderous noise which could be heard outside and inside the villa. Trucks passing through the town on the main road often used their J-breaks which would echo throughout the valley and could also be heard inside the valley. If you are a light sleeper, you should definitely bring earplugs. The kitchen is stocked with oil, salt and pepper and a few other basic supplies. However, the dish sets were incomplete, there was only one wine glass, no bowls and there are no knives besides steak knives. We were hoping to cook most of our meals at the villa but it proved to be a bit tough. The villa is mostly glass and adjacent to a similar villa so privacy is tough when their are guests next door. Our holiday was for pure relaxation and we only left the villa once for about an hour to get groceries at one point, and upon our return it was evident someone had come into the villa during our absence which made us a bit uneasy.
