Everything was good!
ESI stayed in a private room and it was super modern and clean. I felt really comfortable here! The family who runs this hostel is so nice and kind, would definitely stay here again, great value for money!
Just something to be aware of is that it is a few walking minutes away from main road, which is pretty dark at night. But this also means the location is really peaceful so its not a real negative, just something to be aware of
ATThe best hostel on my Sri Lanka trip so far! The owners are super friendly and helpful! I was a bit sick when I arrived and they made me tea and brought me medicine which helped a lot! I immediately felt welcome and at home. The hostel is still very new, everything is clean, including the bathroom. The air conditioning works well and there is hot water. Breakfast was included, there was lots of fresh fruit and traditional local food. I can highly recommend this hostel!

DEWe really enjoyed our stay at KA Surf Hostel. The private room was great, relatively new, surrounded by a wonderful garden. The host family was very warm and welcoming and made amazing breakfast every morning, with changing dishes. All the guests were having breakfast at one big table, which was a nice atmosphere. The Kabalana Beach is very close, max 10 minutes walking. We would definitely recommend staying at this place!

GBThe rooms were small but comfy! Bed was great and there was an AC so never felt too hot! The host is amazing, she is so lovely and made you feel very at home. Would 100% recommend and stay here again.
GBThe family the run this hostal are absolutely amazing and Honeslty it was the highlight of our trip to Sri Lanka. We felt Like part of the family and they went above and beyond to make our stay special. Rooms were brand new with modern furnishings and so clean. Fire flies in the trees, I it was amazing value for money and I will definitely be going back! I couldn’t rate this stay any higher. X

ILStaying at KA Surf Hostel in Ahangama was an amazing experience. The hosts were so warm and welcoming and were happy to cater to our every need including laundry, helping us find services in the city such as bike rental, massages, passport photos, you name it. Breakfast was prepared for us each morning at a time we preferred and was delicious. The rooms are clean and cozy. The hostel is located off the main road behind a cute farm with water buffalo and birds, and we even saw a monitor lizard one morning! A very beautiful and secluded location that is still just a 5 minute walk from restaurants and Kabalana Beach. Would recommend anyone traveling in Ahangama that is looking for an authentic stay!
