Location was convenient

The house is way over priced for the condition. We paid $5600 for a week and it was absolutely not up to that prices standards. For $2500-$3000 for a week, it’s worth it. Pool was very dirty upon arrival even though it was supposed to be cleaned the day before we arrived. The outdoor shower is a joke. In order to rinse off sand from the beach, you have to stand OUTSIDE of the shower for the water to hit you because the shower head being used doesn’t tilt downwards at all, which is most likely why the renters before us made a mess of the pool (there were also large shells in the pool upon arrival). House itself is in states of disrepair with mold on outside of house all over siding. Railings and stairwell outside have paint completely chipped away and gave both of my kids splinters. Interior of house is nice initially and then you see holes in walls, areas repainted with the wrong color, light switches not properly secured to the wall, gaps in flooring which caused my disabled husband to trip and fall multiple times. Nice location because it’s across the street from the beach but you stare at the motel parking lot. Both sets of sliding doors don’t work properly and unless you almost pull them off the track, they don’t open. The ceiling vent in the kitchen is caked with dirt and dust.

Great Location! Easy walk to beach and place to eat! Pier was open late and had a bar in it. Grocery store and small shops were within a 5 min easy drive. There were a lot of houses around that you could rent, but this one was perfect- LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION. The host communicated from day one and was responsive in all questions.

The house was very clean.The kitchen has everything you need to cook and feel at home. Rooms are very comfortable, and the beds are excellent. The pool was great. My kids enjoyed the pool. Short walking distance to the beach, which was awesome. We enjoyed our stay. We are definitely coming back. The area was very quiet, which we loved the most.

Beautiful home, great location, awesome pool - would definitely return! This was our first trip to Oak Island and we loved it. The beach path is a short walk past Island Way, very easy to navigate. House was great, host was super accomodating. Definitely recommend staying here!

The location was perfect. The pool was amazing and the fenced area was great for our pets.

When we arrived, the A/C was broken. We thought it possibly could have been struggling as we were in and out putting our belongings away. But by the evening as we went to bed, it was over 80 degrees in the house. The next morning we notified the host and they were out to check it out that afternoon. I believe there were 3 HVAC companies evaluating the issue. In the meantime, we went to Wal-mart and purchased fans for each of the rooms. On Monday, around 11:00, the maintenance guy brought one window unit for the main level. The A/C unit was then replaced by 4:30pm. After that, the balance of our vacation was great!

View was amazing! Pool was a major plus! Loved all the decks!

The home was comfortable, cozy, and clean! There were board games and other things to keep occupied! TVs in each room. The back yard with the pool was a wonderful addition with seating perfect for sunny days even in the cooler months. This was a nice spot for a family or group.
