Carlisle City Centre The Wash House

Absolutely beautiful large stand alone studio type apartment. Private & quiet, perfectly situated for our needs with a small but adequate outdoor space. Able to park outside the front door to unload and then parked on the hotel carpark just off the main road. We were visiting for a weekend of music at The Brickyard some 10 mins walk away. Super comfortable bed and sofa for napping on. Several places close by to eat at or for a take away although we catered for ourselves on this occasion, M&S food hall in walking distance. Can recommend the chippie just around the corner, beautiful cheese and potato pattie😋 and it opens till late. Kitchen has sufficient in it to put together your own meals. Just to note the coffee maker is a Dolce Gusto not a Nespresso, we took the wrong pods but didn’t lose any sleep over it! The only thing I would consider is possibly a small table by the sofa, could be portable, just to pop your cuppa on. I was forever in fear of knocking it over and making a mess. But by no means a negative.

Good centre location, extra touches, clean, spacious and had everything you needed. Host was brilliant going that extra mile. Thank you we will be back. ☺️

It was December, they had put a lovely Xmas tree, and the heating was on when we arrived...so very cost. Nice touch with free prosecco and chocolates. We arrived a bit early and access was granted and stress free.

I didn't like that the front door to the air bnb's was left open on many occasions.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! The apartment exceeded our expectations. Surprised by how aesthetically pleasing and modern the apartment is. Clean, well-equipped (in all areas; kitchen, bathroom, bedroom), toasty warm, fast wifi, comfy bed. It's easy to access with the check-in/key collection instructions. Private and secure - would feel safe staying here as a solo traveller. The location is also ideal - (less than 10 mins to the bus station and the train station). I also parked in Mary Street car park which is a 5 minute walk away (if that) and is £10 for 24H - which I think is great for a 1 night stay. I will definitely return if I need accomodation in Carlisle again. Thanks so much for having us and we fully appreciated the festive tree and little welcome pack (:

There was nothing we did not like about this place. I would 100% return to stay here. I would say it's potentially misleading to list that the place has parking on booking.com as there is no inclusive/private parking but I knew about this before booking as I read the other reviews and it did not hinder my experience.
