"A very comfortable place to stay"

8.0

It was a nice place to stay with very comfortable beds. The view from the windows were charming as well.

It was a bit far away from downtown if you have little ones.

"We liked the apartment and were warm and comfortable there."

7.0

The apartment was roomy, except for the bathroom. There was a 20 minute walk into town, or a short bus ride.

I'd have appreciated a teapot in the kitchen, with a tea strainer, and a sharp bread knife. There was someone else's rubbish left in a bin in the kitchen. It was quite a climb up the stairs to get into the apartment.

Beautiful flat with loads of room. Very comfortable beds. Only a 20 to 25 minutes walk to the Cathedral. Lovely and warm in the cold weather. We all loved it and would definitely stay again.

This is a bit of a difficult one to answer. The water pressure (especially in the kitchen) was really low making washing up the odd cup almost impossible (so we used the dishwasher instead). There were also problems with the hot water meaning we couldn't have warm showers in the flat. However, the owner was fantastic. Sent someone up quickly to try and restart the boiler. This meant some of us (3 out of the 5) managed showers the following morning. But then the water didn't heat up again. The owner opened up the basement flat so we were able to go down there to shower. Not ideal but but at the weekend it was a good solution until she could get someone in to repair the boiler. We felt she did as much as she was able to do and although a bit inconvenient it didn't spoil our stay.

"Accommodation with good space for weekend away"

7.0

Very comfy beds. Lots of space.

2nd floor apartment, quite a climb with luggage. Very low water pressure, almost impossible to do any washing up. Bathroom facilities okay, loose fittings. Sofas didn't make lounge very comfortable, rug has quite a ridge, easy to trip.

"Great stay for 3 nights. Would definitely go back if saying in Winchester."

8.0

The apartment is a 20 minutes walk from Winchester centre. Walk to the centre can be either via the main road (a little bit quicker) or via the path along the river which is beautiful. Less than 10 minutes from the apartment is the Queen Inn, a very nice pub/ micro brewery , which has good food and nice beers and a heated and covered outdoor area. From the apartment there are very nice walking areas, along river Itchen and St Catharine's Hill nature reserve. The apartment is very spacious with 3 double bedrooms, large sitting/ TV room and 2 bathrooms. Kitchen is well equipped.

"Great property in a close location to town. Highly recommend."

10.0

It was immaculate and very well presented and reflected the photos well. We loved the old feeling about it and it had everything we needed. The welcome milk in the fridge and croissants were lovely and our daughter thoroughly enjoyed one for breakfast. The bath was lovely and relaxing and the television was lovely and large and easy to work. The kitchen is also well equipped and the expresso machine was used every day:-) Our young son loved watching the cars drive past as the windows were lovely and low. The property is only about a mile from town and close to the m3. The views are lovely from the property as well and the instructions to access the property were ever so easy and we even had photos sent of where to park etc. Overall, we really enjoyed the place and would highly recommend it.

We had no complaints or issues. I think it would be worth mentioning that the property is located along a busy single lane road and the parking is a little way down the road and down a little side street which may not suit some however I do believe a permit is available to park on the main road but we didn’t make use of it. Also, if you kept the windows open on the road side you would hear the traffic but it wasn’t hot when we went and so we didn’t open the windows. The glazing on the road side made the property quiet and you couldn’t hear the road noise. It’s also up numerous flights of stairs which may not suit some travellers but we managed these fine as they were well carpeted and only used by ourselves. We found the stairs quirky.
