Milky Way Desert Camp

Très bel endroit, un peu éloigné des autres camps, et c’est tant mieux. Merzouga est surpeuplé et ce petit camp un peu éloigné des autres est moins fréquenté car plus difficile d’accès. Il faut passer du sable pour y accéder. Un système de navette payante est proposé. Nous sommes passés en moto (700 tenere avec des pneus adaptés) avec un peu de difficultés. Le propriétaire était assez étonné que l’on soit venu par nos propres moyens. Pas de parking pour voiture sur place. Nous avons été très bien accueilli. Le petit déjeuner et le repas du soir étaient excellents. La nuit, pour observer le ciel au milieu des dunes, il faut bien s’éloigner car les autres camps font pas mal de bruit et utilisent des spots très puissants qui éclairent les dunes assez loin. C’est dommage. Ce petit camp est vraiment très bien décoré. La nuit, c’est magnifique à voir.

The tents are impeccably clean, spacious, and decorated with such thoughtful attention to Moroccan heritage that you feel truly immersed in the culture. The balance between luxury and authenticity is perfect. Walking through the camp at dusk, with the lanterns glowing against the soft orange dunes, creates a magical atmosphere that photos simply cannot capture. The logistics were flawless. We opted for the 4x4 Jeep transfer, which was a thrilling way to enter the dunes, and the camel trek at sunset was a peaceful, soul stirring highlight. You can tell the team here takes great pride in their work; everything was punctual, safe, and professional. The food was a culinary journey! We enjoyed some of the most delicious, authentic Moroccan cuisine we’ve ever had—rich flavors, fresh ingredients, and presented with such care. As night fell, the camp came alive with traditional Berbere music. Sitting around the crackling fire, under a canopy of a billion stars, singing and dancing with the talented staff, was the highlight of our entire trip to Morocco. For the level of service and the quality of the facilities, the value for money is unbeatable. This is more than just a place to sleep; it is a place to make memories. Hospedarse en Milky Way fue una experiencia increíble en el Sahara. ¡Despertar con un amanecer hermoso justo afuera de tu tienda es algo que debes hacer una vez en la vida! Tanto el amanecer como el atardecer fueron preciosos. El campamento está limpio y la comida es deliciosa. El recorrido en ATV fue fantástico; se sentía como si todo el Sahara fuera un patio de recreo donde podías conducir libremente. ¡Me encantó!

We had an unforgettable night stay at Milky Way Desert Camp in Merzouga. From the moment we arrived until our departure, everything was absolutely perfect. The team took great care of us and made sure we felt comfortable and welcome at all times. The staff were amazing kind, attentive, and very professional. The tents were absolutely stunning: clean, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. The camp itself is perfectly located right on the dunes, which made the experience even more magical. We truly enjoyed every moment of our stay and would highly recommend this camp to anyone looking for an authentic and unforgettable desert experience.

La pozione, più vicina alle dune rispetto agli altri Camp, è certamente il bello della struttura.

La cena della sera è sicuramente migliorabile così come le attività di intrattenimento serale… piuttosto noiose e nemmeno troppo coinvolgenti.

Location was great, good communication, all went as expected. We could arrange a last minute excursion by dromedar. We also booked an excursion to the dunes by car and we really enjoyed that, our driver had impressive driving skills and our kids loved being with him, he even allowed them to drive a bit.

Highly recommend it 100%. Extremely attentive staff, comfortable tents with warm bedding. Dinner and breakfast are both excellent.
