VILLA CAVA by Capri Property

Location was close to main area and restaurants.

Although I typically refrain from negative reviews and tend to overlook minor issues, this stay presented more challenges than anticipated. The property is conveniently located within a ten-minute walk from Anacapri shops and public transport. It offers three bedrooms and three bathrooms as described. Host was responsive most time. However, several concerns arose during the visit. Upon arrival, the dishwasher had not been emptied; the host addressed this prior to departing. There were used towels in a basket and swimwear left behind, suggesting that cleaning may have been incomplete. Additionally, a kettle was not available, which is uncommon based on previous experiences at similar accommodations. The spare blankets had a noticeable mothball odour and did not appear recently laundered. In one bathroom, both shower heads were handheld; one was damaged and unusable, while the other was primarily suitable for bath use, limiting its practicality. Tea towels were found to be unclean. After sharing a photo with the host, replacement tea towels were provided two days later, following our purchase of substitutes. Amenities that are often supplied at comparable properties, such as a small amount of laundry detergent and pool towels (given the presence of a pool), were absent. The double doors leading outside did not close completely, though the lock remained operational. The host clarified that taxi fares are set by law and both cash and cards are accepted. However, the chauffeur service arranged by the host was significantly more expensive—approximately four times the taxi fare. Earlier awareness of local taxi pricing and options would have influenced our choice; nonetheless, this oversight was due in part to not confirming details beforehand. In summary, the property would benefit from significant maintenance and updates, as well as clearer communication on the site regarding amenities that are not included.

Pool. Quiet. Beautiful views.

Some fixtures and furnishings showing their age. Anacapri is great but be prepared for the taxi fees on top of your other outgoings.

The value was very good and reasonable compared to Capri prices.

The old furniture and cleaning and the stairs to reach to facility which consider to be normal in Capri but more care of the cleaning will make it more comfortable and give it high ratings, the staff was very cooperative and provide a lot of help and information, more investment really needed.

Spacious, lovely garden and private path, lemon trees and fragrant flowers. Not too far from the town centre.

The showers weren’t all working properly and the washing machine door didn’t open after a cycle finished. The dishwasher wasn’t working either. There was only one sun lounger. It was also a bit musty smelling.

It is so private clean , and can accommodate a large family. The pool was amazing

Be prepared to take so many steps.

This is a beautiful Italian villa. The house is beautiful, the grounds are very private with lots of citrus trees. The pool is beautiful although it was too cold to get in (visited in October). From the terrace you have very nice views of the sea and beautiful sunsets on sunny days. 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths was a luxury for our family of 5 adults.

The showers are small and in one of them the curtain is too short making it impossible to shower without splashing

A very comfortable place to stay, the pool is very nice. Beautifully overlooking the water, even though you can’t get down to it.

Not a very well marked area took us a bit to find it.

We loved EVERYTHING about this location. It is an oasis in a sometimes hectic island. Far enough removed to feel peaceful but close enough to get to great shops, restaurants and the local transportation (bus or taxi). Huge place with 3 king bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, terrace to see amazing sunsets, multiple sittings areas, outdoor shower, lemon trees and flowers everywhere, and best of all a private pool for dipping and lounging. Raffaele met us, gave us a tour and helpful information on the house and recommendations for honestly the BEST restaurant in town. You can't go wrong with this home. We highly recommend it.

We loved everything about this place. No negatives that I can come up with.
