The host was very responsive, though there were some questionable practices such as asking for a deposit to keep the place even though the booking was confirmed through this platform. Also, I checked the night before and this room was posted as 15% off (owner later shared that she has a few of these rooms and did not intend to rent mine out unless she received same or higher offer with downpayment.) I had insisted that we'll pay when we get the keys but I was anxious the entire time that the apartment would be rented out to others before I can come. It was a good one-stop place for two families with 8 members in our party. The AC was strong, which is useful in this summer trip. There was a washer and dryer in the unit. The kitchen had 'dishes', 'cups', 'pots' and 'pans'. See dislikes for why these are in quotes.

The listing indicated that it could sleep more than 8 and the place was decent, but one of our kids had to sleep on the sofa and the other one on a roll-out mattress on the floor of the living room. The description wasn't as accurate given it said one room had two beds or something similar. The mattresses were typical for Vietnamese beds, very hard. First night was very difficult but we got used to it somewhat on the second night. There weren't much in terms of supplies around the apartment, as we had expected for an airbnb-like place with a full kitchen. There were no kitchen towels or towel paper so we used the extra roll of tp for kitchen wipes. No extra garbage bags or instructions on where to dumpt the garbage if full. The pots and pans were somewhat scratched so we limited to using a small pot to heat up water because the water boiler wasn't working. The dishes and cups were limited so not all of us could use it, so we opted to eat out mostly. The bathrooms were limited supply - no soap, but -- there were extra toothbrushes, toothpastes, and comb or similar. Neighboring kids were playing in the hallway, biking up and down and screaming until around 9. I think one of the neighbors were running a child care from her apartment. Overall, good quick stay for the family but definitely priced on the higher end. I stayed at a guest house before this stay that had four beds to a room that costs lot less. They didn't have an extra room when our friend's family arrived and we wanted to stay together so we moved for them.
