Eljé's Cottage

Conveniently located in a quiet street just behind the main drag. All restaurants and shops within walking distance. The room is very spacious, and it has all the amenities. Safe undercover parking. The hosts are very welcoming. Of all the stays in Parys, this has to date been the best value for money.

A bistro table and chairs on the verandah would have been nice.

What I did not like is the fact that what Bookings.com sold me is not what it was exactly. You cannot sell something that is not available at a higher cost. Firstly you said that there is one available room left and you give options to choose from to upgrade. Be careful with that strategy because it could create an impression that the host is selective when it comes to the race of guests. The option part suggested to us that there was an error in mentioning only one left.

Nothing was perfect.

I appreciated how clean the room and most of all the linen was. Unit was modern and adequately furnished with all you need. Was a breath of fresh air after the load ng trip to get there.

Parking in the bay we used was on the narrow side. Its not a game changer but if I had to write something on how Elje can improve that would be it.

Beds were very comfortable, towels were fluffy and clean, water was warm, enough privacy, welcomed very warmly.

Nothing to dislike.
