The Villa Hush

Der Bahnhof und der Strand sind gut zu erreichen und die Lage ist sehr ruhig. Die Küche ist groß und eignet sich gut zum Kochen. Es gibt einen kostenlosen Wäscheservice. Das Personal ist super freundlich und zu jeder Zeit erreichbar. Normalerweise unternehmen sie einen Ausflug und kochen gemeinsam mit ihren Gästen. Zu der Zeit als wir da waren, haben sie allerdings ein Kind erwartet und hatten daher verständlicherweise keine Zeit. Dafür wurden wir am letzten Abend mit selbstgemachten Rice & Curry überrascht! Alles in allem eine super Erfahrung.

Die Wassertemperatur in der Dusche ist fest eingestellt. Angenehme Temperatur, aber es geht geht nicht wärmer und kälter.

Sehr liebe Gastgeber, sie waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und zugleich angenehm zurückhaltend. Sie schenkten uns Früchte und brachten sogar zweimal köstliches selbstgekochtes Essen vorbei:-)

Man muss sich darauf einstellen, dass es nachts im Haus nicht richtig abkühlt und es etwas stickig werden kann. Damit kann ja,aber jeder unterschiedlich gut umgehen.

la villa husch é una casettina semplice in un quartiere non turistico e dunque autentico in hikkaduwa. già questo era bellissimo: dalla cittadina carina si camminava una decina di minuti e poi cominciava il nucleo: un labirinto di stradine abitate da gente del luogo molto gentile, il suono di tantissimi uccelli, i bei cani nelle strade, la vita semplice e genuina. adiacente alla villa abitano bashini, isham e la madre di isham. sono persone gentilissime e di cuore. grazie a loro abbiamo potuto fare un'avventura nella giungla che mai più dimenticheremo. ci tengono a mostrare come é la vera vita tradizionale sri lankese, a far conoscere anche i loro cibi tradizionali. la loro ospitalitá non ha paragoni. io abbiamo abitato molto molto volentieri nella villa hush, nel nucleo del villaggio e con loro come vicini di casa. consiglierei questo posto a tutti coloro che desiderano esperimentare pace, vita nostrana e tradizionale del posto. la passeggiata alle bellissime spiaggie e al centro città dura circa 20 minuti ed é una bellissima passeggiata. grazie di cuore bashini, isham e alla mamma ❤️💕

una volta c'era un ragno in casa e siccome io ho paura dei ragni, era l'unica cosa che non mi era piaciuta. in sri lanka fanno tanti fuocherelli fuori casa (non nella nostra ma nel vicinato) per brucuare immondizia. l'odore a volte mi dava fastidio, ma passava presto.

Sehr nette Gastgeber!!! Haben uns sogar auf ein Abendessen auf Sri Lankanische Art eingeladen. Sehr sehr kinderfreundlich und die Villa mitten unter den Einheimischen ❤️ kommen gerne wieder 👍

The owners were super friendly and showed us some traditional Sri Lankan cooking! We had such a nice 11 days here! We had the whole villa to ourselves and the hosts were close by to help with anything we needed even dropping a taste of their dinner each night! Made us feel like family!

Lovely to have whole property to myself, very spacious rooms and well equipped kitchen, hosts were very nice and made me a traditional Sri Lankan meal one evening that was delicious

It is in a residential area and there is a bit of a walk to the beach and amenities but I enjoyed the walk and chose not to hire a scooter which the hosts did offer

This has been our favourite place we've stayed in Sri Lanka so far! It's set in a beautiful and peaceful area away from the main road and bustle of Hikkaduwa. The walk to and from town is lovely with towering palm trees and friendly faces along the way and in the morning you can sit on the roof and listen to the birds, frogs and other wildlife - if you're lucky you see a monkey or two. Ishan and Bhashini were the best hosts, so friendly and warm. From the moment we arrived we felt welcome and nothing was ever too much hassle. They went out of there way to give us a great experience and teach us about Sri Lanka, they gave us coconuts off their land, starfruit from a friends place and showed us the traditional method to make coconut milk. We cooked and ate with them one evening and it was possibly the best meal we've had here, they showed us how to make multiple curries and it was just a lovely evening! We couldn't recommend this place enough, the location is great if you're after a quiet place to rest your head but being super close to town, the nature around is beautiful, the people are amazing and friendly and the villa itself was everything you'd want. Clean, simple, fully equipped kitchen, lovely porch to sit out on and a blender to make those smoothies in the morning!

Very kind and helpful young couple took care of all our needs, we enjoyed our stay, a bit away from the noise of tourists, in a calm place among the houses of locals. 10 minutes walk or 260 rupees tuktuk drive from the main road/beach
