Charter House with good Wifi

Place was clean but would request future cleaning under the beds but it was a good place

All was fine but prefer 4 toilet rolls instead of 2 Hand towers

It was clean however had an odd smell

Very cold, beds were uncomfortable and there was an odd smell, could use some air fresheners

It’s very cozy and clean.

The view from the small bedroom was disgusting because of the cat poop on the roof next door.

Nice enough place. Clean, modern, smart, everything we needed. Parking free on street. It's basically a little two-up two-down terrace. I've given it a 7/10, because that's what I feel it's worth. However, I must express my annoyance that the proprietor messaged me with less than 18 hours notice and tried to cancel our booking. They or Booking.com had made an error as they have a minimum two-night stay and we only booked for one night for my little boy's birthday treat. It was a thoroughly unpleasant online exchange where they tried desperately to persuade me to book at another place which had fewer bedrooms and also had a two-night rule, or take a refund. None of this involved Booking.com, so i stuck to my guns, and they backed down. I even asked how much I needed to pay for a second night, and they said the next night wasn't even available! Would not recommend, for this reason alone. The house is okay.

Cheaply furnished and decorated, all a bit tacky and rickety. Done on the cheap. Bedroom layout is weird. Have to go through the twin to get to the single, so not ideal when kids in bed. Only one bathroom, and it's all the way downstairs through the kitchen at the back. Tea and coffee provided, but no other welcome pack or info. Also, see above about proprietor trying to cancel us at the last minute.
