Please note there is no elevator and all rooms are on the first and second floor. Unfortunately, due to size restrictions, standard accommodations is unsuitable for infants. Please note that there is no parking available on the property but free parking is available nearby. The Downs is in no way responsible for parking fines issued by wardens. Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the hotel or on the balconies. Failure to adhere to this will result in guests being asked to leave immediately. The full charge of any accommodations booked will still be applicable plus a GBP 50 cleaning fee. Well behaved dogs are allowed for a small charge by prior agreement (when booking), but are only allowed in the bedroom and the lounge-bar (guests should bring their own doggy bedding for total comfort). Guide dogs will not be charged for and are allowed in the public areas.Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. Fab location, lovely and clean, lovely staff, rm 12 has some beautiful views

I'm a larger person, chairs on the balcony rm12 are very small, yet the chairs on rm5 balcony, which is a smaller room, are lovely, all rooms should have these as I couldn't sit on my balcony due to this Walls are very thin, both myself and my friend in a different room on a different floor didnt sleep Tuesday due to a guests loud snoring (I know this isn't the owners fault, I'm just saying the walls are rather thin) My friend had rm 5 which I believe is a compact double, I had rm 12, a larger room but I feel rm 5 was better, better seating on the balcony and also more privacy either side , if the balcony on rm12 was the same as rm5, it would be perfect

Breakfast was brilliant and the room very nice. Beautiful view from the balcony. Evening meal very good. The staff were friendly and attentive. Staff booked theater for us with discount- very goof.

No complaints at all.

The view was the best I have seen in this country. The room was a bit on the the small side but it was enough for us. The breakfast was great,especially the scrambled eggs on crumpets. The staff was great.

The wi-fi wasn’t great. You had to login every time you used it.
