Casa d'Amore Luxury Sorrento

Casa D' Amore was great. Perfect location, convenient nearby supermarket and restaurants, a short walk to downtown historic Sorrento, the port to catch ferries and only 1 1/2 blocks to the train station making it excellent to access Pompei, Napoli and Amalfi Coast. Alisia welcome us to Casa D'Amore which is spacious, modern, an elevator that made it easy to carry luggage and had everything we needed, a well maintained gated apartment building. Alisia was great, very accommodating on our arrival time, she provided us with with good instructions on how everything worked in the apartment and great recommendations and directions on places to eat and visit. We had a very pleasant stay in Sorrento and would come again to Casa D'Amore

The location of this apartment was perfect; accessible by taxi and close to the heart of the city. The WIFI was super-fast. The bathrooms were renovated. The apartment is large with plenty of space. The host was great - responding to questions in minutes and always available.

This could be a 5-star property if the owner would just invest and take care of little things to make the stay more pleasant. Most facilities provided were barely sufficient - from the tiny safe that didn't work and wasn't bolted to anything, to the lack of a shelf in the kitchen for tenant food, to the lack of any spices for cooking, to minimal hanging space in bedrooms, to only 2 bath towels in the bathrooms. The beds were very uncomfortable - you could literally feel the springs. The bedding was not clean. We were provided with 1.5 rolls of toilet paper and had to request more for a 3-night stay. The single sofa in the living room is very worn and was inadequate for more than a couple of people. Take note there is a washer and it does not include an integrated dryer like other places we stayed - you have to hang your clothes to dry. Again, if the owner focused on making the stay more pleasant this should be a 5-star rating. Finally, for some reason the building didn't turn on the stairway lighting until it was pitch black, so we found ourselves using our phone flashlights to light up the stairs - a real security/safety hazard.

Adolfo was wonderful. He met us at the apartment, gave us a tour to show how everything worked, and provided local suggestions. The location was perfect - close to the main square, restaurants, and the ferries to Capri and Positano

The location was PERFECT!!! We never needed a car. The bus station was a 2 min. walk & so were the trains. Lots of shops & restaurants all close by: we walked everywhere. Also a grocery store very close by. While it was city center it was in a quiet gated complex just off the main road near all the shops. Beautiful Mountain View’s from one room & sea views from the other room. Very clean and the manager Alicia was super responsive & helpful. She recommended a driver for us and he was fantastic! It was also at a very reasonable price. Loved it!!!

The mattress was a little hard for my taste. That’s literally the only thing I can think of …everything else was great.

Location being centre of town was excellent.good size accommodation with good facilities.

Communal stairs and lift not so nice.

Hosts were very helpful…smooth checkin and out. Location is great as it is right next to the train station and is accessible by car if you are driving in. Parking can be arranged at a nearby garage and was very easy for the 2 days we had a car. Apartment is big and though sparse, tastefully decorated. Both rooms have a small balcony and their own large bathroom. Pods provided for the coffee maker and water in the fridge on arrival. Some basic toiletries provided.

Could do with more seating…..just one sofa in the main room. It’s generally quiet as it’s away from the Main Street in an apartment complex, but we did hear some noise from neighbors in the mornings. Didn’t really bother us as we were awake early most days. Wi-Fi was very spotty in the far/large bedroom.

Brilliantly located. On the main street with the shops and restaurants, 2 minutes from the railway station and 5 minutes from the port. Easy transfers by bus from Naples airport. Superb support from the on site manager Adolphe.
