Loch Shiel Luxury Pod

The location was perfect, very quiet and peaceful surrounding by sheep and horses. It was remote location which was ideal and easy to access all of the places we were visiting and exploring. The property was clean and had everything we needed for a weekend break on the West Coast of Scotland. We would definitely recommend!

Basically everything, the cabin is wonderful, just like a little flat everything you would need for your stay, comfortable, warm, quiet. The views of Loch Shiel and the mountains around it and the hamlet of Dalnabreck, a shop a couple of miles down the road in Acharacle, if you forget things, great place to walk, all n all a fantastic place for a quiet get away. Not to forget a helpful informative host, Becky, thanks very much. Thanks for the card, chocolates and prosecco, which I didn't drink left it in the fridge.

The location is stunning. No neighbours, just animals! View was breathtaking.

The fridge needs a wee handle as it has potential to be difficult for anyone with weaker hands or a disability to open. The tv didn’t work second night but it was not a problem as we had our WiFi hotspot and it’s such a beautiful place that tv is NOT necessary! Best trip away and best value trip we’ve had in a while! Would definitely book again and bring my daughter next time.

This luxury pod is superb in every way. It was perfect for one and would be excellent for a couple - similar to staying in a roomy boat or caravan. Despite being just off the main road, it was wonderfully quiet and dark. There are good places to eat in Mingarry and Acharacle. There is also a well-stocked shop in the latter. It provided the perfect base to explore Ardnamurchan - an hour to the lighthouse through spectacular scenery. Getting there is much easier, now the Corran Ferry has reopened for cars.

The location was beautiful, the property was lovely and clean.

Although the pod is just in an open field, it's very cosy inside and there's a decking area at the entrance, should weather and midges allow sunset watching. The space is used very efficiently. The bed is very spacious and there's plenty of sitting room. A fridge and cooking facilities, efficient heating, a stylish finish to the decor and excellent wifi justify the "luxury" tag. It all appears quite new and fresh, so as long as it's treated with respect by guests and kept maintained then it will remain very good value. You can park safely against the entrance, and it's a peaceful spot apart from the soothing lowing of cattle.
