The room was very clean, it's quirky accommodation. Martin was very nice checking me on. The rooms were warm. The smoking area is cool. Beautiful location

The showers and bathroom are shared but expected with such good value. No tv in room.

Our host Martin (Murt) was extremely obliging in helping us to find The Barn Lodge on a wet night and was very friendly. The price was very competitive and the bed very comfortable.

Although much lower in cost than most other places we have stayed, it would have nice to have had a sink in the room when there was no ensuite. An electric heater in the room at night when the central heating isn't on would have been handy and perhaps a kettle and two cups in each room. Being in a somewhat remote location, well outside Tullamore, there is need for directional signposting for it from the main road as it is difficult to find in the dark.

This was such a unique stay — a renovated barn turned into a lodge! The place had a cool vibe, and the outdoor seating area with a grill and garden was perfect for relaxing, especially with a group. They even provided tea, coffee, and cookies, which was a nice touch. The beds were super comfy, and it was easy to find. Highly recommend!

There’s not much to complain about, but a shelf in the shower would have been handy. Also, the motion-activated lights in the bathroom turn off too quickly, so I found myself constantly moving to avoid sitting in the dark! 😄
