Such a unique and peaceful place. So interesting seeing the photos of the transformation. You can see it's a labour of love.

Convenient and excellent value

Separate toilet facilities but knew when I booked so acceptable

Quiet, comfortable bedroom, plenty of parking. Pleasant host, Shirley.

The location is very remote, closer to Portarlington than Tullamore. I would consider Barn Lodge a hostel rather than a Guest house. The bedrooms are not ensuite and toilet and showering facilities are communal. There is a small area with complimentary tea/coffee making facilities, a fridge and an air fryer. Bottled water is used here as there is no sink. The 'Outback' is a communal lounge and smoking area with several couches and a large TV with many channels, however this is a dark barn and very cold even with blankets.
