Estrela do Mar

The location was excellent, as were the hosts. They called out immediately when we had a problem. The apartment was clean and all cleaning materials left and well stocked. The kitchen had everything we needed

It was a private apartment. In a block, on arrival we did not know where it was as there was no name on the building. But the host did come find us on the street and bring us to the apartment. The hallways were very dark and in need of painting.

Estrela do Mar is a great apartment. It is located almost in the center of Albufeira, yet away from the loudness of the nightlife. At the entrance to the building there is a British styled bar, a supermarket and a pharmacy, so if you need anything, you can just go downstairs. There is also a functional lift, so if you have heavy bags you don’t have to carry them up the stairs. The communication with the owners went smoothly, after stating the estimated hour of our arrival there was a person waiting for us with the keys to show us the way to the apartment, which was a really nice touch. The kitchen and bathroom are fully equipped with plenty of towels and a few coffees provided for a start. However the most amazing thing is the balcony with the view of the ocean. You don’t have to go on a beach to feel like you’re on one!

The apartment could benefit from the bedside cabinets with small lamps.

Location was excellent to old town & beaches.

The third bed was extremely uncomfortable.

No breakfast at all. Worst of all, on arrival, we met nobody. They assumed that we had the technology to respond to them on iphones, but we did not. We were just fortunate to get help from someone from the tourist information. Of course, the best part is the view. When we finally got a hold of the management, they were helpful in arranging a taxi for us when we departed.

The apartment is poorly equipped. It is not the managements fault. It is the owners of the company. They should ensure that the place is liveable when the customer moves in. The bathroom door does not work, the closets are off their rails so that you cannot open or shut them. It is simply not acceptable for the money charged per night.

Had breakfast at the bar down stair and it was great!The location is brill,so close to everything but nice and quiet at night.

we arrived earlier than expected and sent a text to the owner who then met us outside the property, she could have left us waiting until the arranged time but didn't, she was a very nice lady! , property is very clean, has everything you need , a beautiful sea view and in a great location close to everything!
