"Convenient and nice for my single night stay"

Convenient location to many things to do in Portland. The place was quaint and clean.

The neighborhood was a bit sketchy (and the owners did note that in their welcome email), but did have some concerns about the surroundings. An ice machine would have been nice :-)

"Convenient for me to visit friends downtown"

It was close to downtown Portland especially if you have a friend/partner/spouse in the treatment program there. The room was nice and very clean . It listed the same time I was needing a place to stay!

The neighborhood is rough . Lots of homeless folks but it didn’t bother me. The gate situation was tricky to figure out but a nice lady who is friends with the housekeeper helped us! She also picked up trash around the building I saw.

"Simple and convenient"

The place was very functional for its small size. The building parking was also very nice (luckily I got a spot). Great for remote work, and walking distance to nice coffee/food spots. The heater was useful.

I think an extra hook or two on doors/walls would be very useful for hanging jackets and towels. The presence of nearby homeless was a tad unsettling but not actually a problem.
