Phong Nha Eco Village

The garden and surroundings are nice

We arrived at 4am, and they charged us 220k for a taxi ride about 10 minutes. There were only 3 towels and 3 blankets while we had booked for 4 people. They got annoyed we used hand towel for the floor but they didn't give us a bath floor towel. The room was very old, paint coming off, terrible smell. We had to buy air freshener. The place is too far from town to talk (almost 5km). They charge 130k each way for transport to town. The room cleaning was non existant. The staff were nice but barely any english and not efficient. Breakfast was horrible, two fried eggs (terribly cooked, taste like expired margarine), bread roll with no butter, two slice of cucumber, and that's it. I waited 4hrs to get a motorbike that they charge 200k instead of 140k in town. They brought a gear motorbike... I can only drive automatic, so I lost my day. And to finish the noise!!!! The container house has no isolation. We hear everything s if we were outside. On top of that, they organised karaoke at the front of our room. I thought this hotel was an absolute joke!!!! Also, over price!!! Pillow too hard. Give yourself a favour and go somewhere else.

The location is a really beautiful place to be and the room was nice and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and there were some lovely friendly dogs too! If it was warmer when we were there we definitely would have made use of the big pool!

The location is outside of the town so to get around you definitely need to hire a moped but the staff were helpful in organising that and picking us up from Phong Nha initially for a fee.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was basic but good.

The room (which is in an reused shipping container) had a strong smell of chemicals when we arrived and the smell didn’t go away after 3 nights because of the poor ventilation. The lack of ventilation also meant clothes felt humid and it smelled mouldy. Also at 8am every morning the staff would start blasting techno music on a loud speaker which would wake us up. The location is far from the village so you need a motorbike/scooter but the ones they rent are over price (250,000 vdn when those in the village are 100,000 vdn).

It's located in a stunning natural setting. The village is surrounded by lush green mountains and the Son River, which makes for some breathtaking views. It's a great place to relax and unwind. The village has a laid-back atmosphere, and there are plenty of places to relax and enjoy the scenery, such as the swimming pool, the sun deck, and the hammocks. It's a convenient base for exploring Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park. The park is home to some of the most impressive caves in the world, including Son Doong Cave, the largest cave in the world. Phong Nha Eco Village offers a variety of tours and activities to help you explore the park, such as caving tours, hiking tours, and kayaking tours. It's a sustainable ecotourism destination. The village is committed to protecting the environment, and it uses a variety of sustainable practices, such as solar energy, rainwater harvesting, and organic waste composting. It's a great place to experience Vietnamese culture. The village offers a variety of cultural activities, such as cooking classes, traditional dance performances, and visits to local villages.

It can be isolated. The village is located in a rural area, which means it's a bit far from town and other attractions. This can be inconvenient if you want to explore the area on your own. It's still under development. The village is still relatively new, and some of the facilities and amenities are still under development. This can be a bit frustrating for guests, especially if they're expecting a fully finished resort. There are some noise issues. The village is located near a working plantation, which can be noisy at times. The chainsaws and other equipment can be disruptive, especially if you're trying to relax.
