In summary, inconsistent standards of service, inadequate attention to matters of health and safety, being over-run with dogs and experiencing a degree of contempt on reporting some of the following matters to the staff on reception at the time of leaving. In more detailed terms.... Dogs were running freely around the public areas and medium sized dogs were banging into my legs whilst waiting to be served at the bar on both nights Dog's poo was left in black bag in the garden border next to the table where we sat outside the conservatory to have a pre-dinner drink. At breakfast guests with dogs who asked where to sit were told by waitresses to "sit anywhere it does not matter". At breakfast a family of 6 went to collect food from the buffet with 2 small dogs running around their heels and one bigger dog being carried in one arm by a person who then helped themselves to their food with the other. It made my wife and I feel sick. We left our table immediately, thankfully after having finished our own breakfast. We did not have any more meals at the hotel for the rest of our 2 night stay. Hot and cold taps were fitted on different sides in the wash basin and the bath. There was no toilet brush in the bathroom. There were no 13 amp plugs in the bedroom to recharge our multiple electrical devices. Staff improvised with a 10 amp extendable extension cable. Noted that the toasting machine at breakfast, probably rated as 3 kW, was also connected to a 10 amp coiled extension cable. On the 2nd day the bed was left unmade and a wet towel was left in the shower tray. It had been placed there earlier to signify a need for a new towel. All this was annoying as cleaning staff had been in the room to empty bins and replenish teas and coffees. Whilst hearing apologies for poor room service we did not like the apparent contempt shown by the receptionist in rolling back her eyes and looking out of the window with shrugged shoulders when hearing of other matters.

As a chef in the hotel industry what you offer is well above some locations I've stayed and worked at staff went above to help and look after us as a large group. 10 out of ten

Only bad thing being on a Motorcycle the gravel drive and court yard not Motorcycle friendly.
