Santa Lucia Maccarese - Residenza Agricola

The grounds are beautiful and the two swimming pools looked very inviting but it was cool and very windy on the day we stayed so we didn't get to enjoy them (which was one of the primary reasons for booking).

The signage is extremely easy to mix - we drove by it a couple of times. Our room was quite spartan. It had a nice seating area outside and a very comfortable bed, but it was a small room and a little unexciting decor wise. Unfortunately, our room was located just outside the reception area. On the night we were there, there was a large party in the restaurant area and people leaving (around 11pm) were spending a lot of time in the reception area talking very loudly. The staff had left the door between the reception area and our bedroom door open, which we got out of bed to close, but even with the door closed it was quite noisy which was a little annoying as we had an early flight departure time and couldn't get to sleep. We believe the staff should have asked people to exit quickly. We ate dinner in the restaurant having read it was farm to table. We were disappointed in what we ordered. We were expecting something amazing. The fried pumpkin gnocchi was tough and the portion was small. It was so unmemorable that we can't remember what else we had. Because of our early departure we were given a breakfast box which was also uninspiring. I'm hoping this was a one off experience as we have read other good reviews (one of the reasons we booked).

Spa for visitors who stay for several nights is for an additional €50 pp fee. The bed was a little bit too hard for our preference. But apart from this nothing we had comments on

Really nice interior design, 2 pools with massage features and multiple fire pits. The staff were phenomenal, the food was extremely good and they looked after us so well.

Heerlijk paradijs vlakbij het vliegveld. Geweldige keuken met lokale producten en snel geteld meer dan 80 wijnen op de kaart. Prachtige kamers van alle gemakken voorzien en een heerlijk zwembad

Als ik dan toch wat aan te merken heb is het de hoogte van de kamer tov van de dakbalken. Wij zijn allebei langer dan 1.80 en ‘s nachts naar de wc gaan is dan best een uitdaging om de dakbalken te ontwijken
