Il Melo

De rust en uitzicht, mooie tuin en konden gebruik maken van een groot terras en goed verzorgd zwembad.

Geen grotere tafel in appartement wat je wel nodig hebt om te kunnen eten. Keukenuitrusting karig. Geen wasmachine wat wel op booking.com vermeld stond. En de weg naar het verblijf is erg hobbelig en slecht ruim 1 km.

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié l'environnement de la propriété entre vignes et olivers, les nombreuses terrasses avec vues magnifiques, la très belle piscine. Les nuits sont très calmes au milieu de cette nature. C'est très ressourçant. L'appartement est petit mais suffisant puisque nous prenions nos repas à l'extérieur. La literie est très confortable. La situation est parfaite pour découvrir le Chianti, Sienne, le Val d'Orcia... Notre hôte est quelqu'un de charmant et très prévenant avec qui nous avons eu plaisir à échanger en français.

On parvient à la propriété après une piste de 2 km.

Loved our stay here.. Our apartment II Melo was exactly as described and pictured. We were very comfortable here. The Swimming pool was magic, and well maintained and clean. The gardens just beautiful. The Host Eve very helpful and nice. A beautiful area of Tuscany. As we had 5 nights we dined at home 2 nights as the village has a supermarket and GREAT DELI. Just to advise that it is a dirt road of about 5 minutes to the property

Unfortunately we had terrible time finding the property, as II Melo is the name of the apartment within the Villa. Bookings.com you need to liaise with the owner and change the details to reflect this. Our GPS took us to the gate (we loaded the co-ordinates) but there was no sign on the gate. We had to go to another Villa and ask them to call the property for us.

Eva and her husband are very kind and generous. We were lucky to taste their excellent wine and oil. They welcomed us even though we changed the time and arrived late. They will give you all the information you need about the area, and you can speak openly with them.

One thing that could be improved is to establish rules for families arriving with children, especially in the pool area. Sometimes guests can be disturbed by kids playing loudly and jump into the pool. Perhaps define some hours when quiet must be maintained for all guests. In the description of the accommodation, it says private pool for exclusive use. Keep in mind that the pool is shared with other guests of the farmhouse.

A beautiful location if you want peace and quiet. A wonderful, clean swimming pool.

I found the white road quite difficult to drive. Very poor wifi signal.

Cypress trees, a beautiful Tuscan hill .. wonderful views. Fabrizio and Eva are wonderful hosts, always available, and Il Melo (apartment overlooking vineyards and olive groves) is a self-contained, cozy and well-equipped corner of Tuscany! The presence of a large and perfectly maintained pool completes the experience. The place is equally close to Florence and Siena (approx. 40-45 min.). The hosts are wine and olive oil producers and you can buy their original products.
