Beautiful house with beautiful backyard

Upstairs was sleeping room for the 5 of us. Comfortable and clean Carpeted Laundry Kitchen well equipped - we cooked both nights

With 5 of us 2 x laundry tabs wasn’t enough Same with dishwasher extra tab would’ve been ideal for x 5 people. Would attract higher rating with a lounge for x 5 and a rug downstairs.

Easy access to bus stop. Lights in the garden. Easy heating system.

No washing up bowl. Lack of information regarding recycling. No TV instructions. No information about Oxfore visitor information pack. No wardrobe space in biggest room.

Size and space inside accomodation, comfortable beds and free parking for our car close by.

Netflix and other media platforms not logged in. The heating was not turned on for a warm welcome.

Close to oxford centre - for convenience we booked a taxi and it wasn't expensive as it's a short drive. Responsive host (needed a new kettle and no tea towels were provided but host came to rectify this for us). The beds were comfortable, and I really appreciated the extra large bed in the main bedroom. I also appreciated that shampoo, conditioner and bodywash are provided. The shower has good pressure and is separate from the toilet which is very convenient. I also like the coded door lock, which means you don't have to be remembering a key all the time. Bathroom was clean, and linen was fresh.

Needs a deep clean. Linen and towels were clean, as were kitchen and bathroom but there was a good layer of dust over a lot of things, including the master bed head, sticky under the side table next to couch (not that we were looking on purpose, we discovered on moving the table closer), toilet floor had hairs and blue cleaning product on the floor that could easily have been cleaned but wasn't. Couch had food crumbs in the seat creases. Just a matter of attention to detail I think - the host hires a cleaning team which we've discovered over our experience seem not to take care during their cleaning jobs as a host normally would themselves. For example, leaving a used, yucky sponge/scour lying upside down in the sink wet and the kettle having extreme limescale build up to the point that it looked like the entire inside was covered in white, wavy algae. The dishes were dirty but that's from previous guests. We just washed what we used before using and let the host know about the kettle and missing clean sponge and tea towels and she came over to fix the issues that same night which was very kind of her. We kept discovering problems with cleanliness after this but she'd already indicated she engages cleaners, and we figured she's not aware of the build-up and I didn't want to complain and bother her a second time. Carpets are tired with stains - probably wear from being a short term rental though. The single and main bedrooms could use a dressing table as there's not a lot of space to put your things down, but definitely space within the rooms to add these finishing touches. The loungeroom could do with an update in decore - it seems pretty dated.
