NZGreat location amongst the forrest. The facilities were lovely. Nice deck to sit out on having a barbecue while sipping on a glass of wine. Had an adorable dog that visited us but didnât make a nuisance of herself.
There were two things I personally found were a bit of a challenge. Not being able to get off and on the bed from both sides. The continuous hum of road noise from the main road below detracted from the beautiful tranquil landscape and view.
NZClean, cute and comfortable. You can see the hosts property from the cabin but it still feels super private. Bed was comfy, bathroom spacious and clean. Everything felt like it was finished to a really nice standard. The bedroom was rustic and charming with a great view too. Location great for exploring the Karangahake gorge or beyond. There was everything you would need, extra towels, blankets, hammock, BBQ etc. Plus yummy brownie and granola!
OK I'll get nitpicky as there really are no faults as such. I would personally have liked a bigger TV as the space could handle it easily. Also a bigger ottoman so 2 people can enjoy stretching out on the comfy couch, and again this is a roomy little area so could fit in no problem. Probably the one thing that I would do immediately is put a roller blind/roman blind on the kitchen window as it faces east and the morning sun woke me early, or put a curtain across the bedroom door. Either one would fix this. Another thing to think about would be somewhere to have a nice cup of tea enjoying the morning sun. Possible place could be a little table just up above the outdoor bath, I noticed it was nice and sunny there. We would love to come back and stay if in the area again.
