Family or Group Apartment in Silent Center

The place was spacious and well located. There is a grocery shop downstairs and a possibility to park the car in the courtyard.

The apartment does not offer cooking facilities apart from a microwave and does not have a washing machine. Very inconvenient when traveling with a family and children. I did not expect it would not have these amenities that are rather basic and could be easily installed in the spacious apartment.

The food store next door and the bus that takes you to the airport outside the door. The easy access to electric trams

No one to meet us upon our informed early arrival by plane and having to make ourselves scarce for a few hours while the apartment was being cleaned up for us.

Advertised as 2 bedroom/sleeps 5.There were NO bedrooms, just spaces with pullout sofas for sleeping. Totally unacceptable for 9 nights of sleep. Entrance at back through a parking space was dark, no motion light. No “concierge” as advertised and manager who lives on site did not greet us as he had said he would in previous correspondence. It was known we would arrive very late. Linens for making up couches were old, worn and mismatched, towels also. “Free toiletries” were one bar of soap. “Walk-in shower” just standard small shower stall with a plastic base. “Walk-in closet” was a nook with rod and clothes hangers. Very hot and stuffy, extreme traffic noise when windows open for air. Manager quite unapologetic, indicating his description of property submitted to Booking.com in Latvian was somehow mis-translated. Several emails requesting clarification of sleeping arrangements were not answered. Either way property and amenity descriptions were hugely misleading. No recompense offered, only excuses. Investing in beds not feasible. We payed for 9 nights, stayed only 1, and moved on the next day to an Airbnb we found in the Old City, more appropriate and convenient for us and cheaper.
