This property was beautiful with even better views! The owner was so generous with food and drinks for us on our arrival. The house has everything you need, couldn't think of anything we didn't have. Only a short drive out of Cefalu, stunning views over the ocean and a perfect pool with sun loungers made for a very relaxing holiday.

The house has a steep driveway which the host helped us to get up the first time. Furniture in the house was very basic but plenty of seating options.

"Tolle Lage, aber für diesen Preis nie wieder"

Das Haus liegt wunderschön etwas außerhalb von Cefalu (ca. 5-10 Autominuten) am Hang mit Blick auf das Meer. Bis zum Kiesstrand sind es nur 5 Gehminuten. Dieser ist allerdings nicht sehr schön und wir haben dort nicht einmal gebadet. Allerdings ist man vom Haus aus sehr schnell am Stadtstrand von Cefalu oder den umliegenden Buchten. Auf der Terrasse sitzt man sehr schön und blickt unmittelbar auf das sehr nah gelegene Meer. Der Garten ist sehr schön angelegt und gepflegt und der Pool absolut ausreichend.

Gar nicht gefallen hat uns das Thema Sauberkeit. Für den Preis erwarten wir, dass man eine absolut gepflegte und saubere Unterkunft vorfindet, in der man sich auf Anhieb wohl und willkommen fühlt. Die Unterkunft war sicherlich einmal Wochen zuvor gereinigt worden, aber nicht mehr vor unserer Ankunft und schien längere Zeit nicht genutzt worden zu sein. Leider hatte in dieser Zeit auch niemand gelüftet. Da die Räume im Untergeschoss (Gartenebene) in den Hang hineingebaut sind, herrscht hier durchweg eine gewisse Feuchtigkeit. Bei unserer Ankunft roch das gesamte Untergeschoss modrig und es hatte sich auf den Holzmöbeln, in den Ecken der Räume und selbst auf den Stromkabeln der Badezimmerheizkörper Schimmel gebildet/abgesetzt. Auf den Fensterbänken lagen tote Fliegen, auf den Bettlaken Haare von wem auch immer und selbst auf den Toilettenpapierrollen war eine dicke Staubschicht. Das Haus insgesamt ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet, wirkt aber in die Jahre gekommen.

Quality of the property and the location. Very welcoming hosts with great advice for local restaurants and things to do. Fridge stocked on arrival and home made treats.

A bbq would be a good addition.
