Roam Taupo Upper Terrace Unit 3 - Spa Pool

We had a wonderful and relaxed stay at this property and the attention to details were impeccable. Beautiful hand soaps and shampoos, plenty of extra towels for the spa, and a very comfortable lounging area with a stunning view of the lake and mountains. Furnishings were relaxed and modern which set the tone for a holiday space. Loved having the direct access to the lakefront and made use of the hot water spring out the front by the lake.

Would love to have extra cups and plates when on holiday. If it accommodates 4 then there should be 12 of everything. No one wants to wash after every drink. I don’t love hybrid washing machines in holiday destinations. Each cycle takes way to long.

The spa and the view

I thought we had booked the front houses by the lake but it didn't matter as the view was awesome and easy to get to the car being up the top.

The unit had a breathtaking view of the lake that you could see from almost every room of the house. The unit was beautifully furnished with lots of space for a family of 5. The spa was an added bonus. We did not want to leave!

Location and comfort were superb. Unbeatable views across lake and towards mountains, with sheltered outdoor area. Easy access for elderly mother. Affordable for the 4 of us too, thank you.

Great location for east access to the lake for a walk or swim. Place is clean with great quality beds. The spa was being drained upon arrival with no prior comms which was quite disappointing for our 3 kids. Great to see the quality standards being reinforced and they did work to resolve the issue very promptly which was much appreciated. Spa maintenance man Doug was amazing too.

Spas and courtyards/deck are quite exposed to the neighboring unit so no privacy outside. We booked unit 2 (lakefront), but in the comms were allocated unit 3 by the carpark/road which was a bit disappointing. Rule to put away dishes before leaving is a bit harsh given it makes it hard to utilize the dishwasher for the final wash before going.

Great view, comfortable beds, lovely new place.

Sadly no coffee pods supplied with coffee machine, antenna not installed so could not watch regular TV.
