St Georges Cross 1BR - Subway on Doorstep - Central

The location suited me for the work I had to do in Glasgow. That's about it though.

The property was not cleaned to an acceptable standard. An old coffee capsule had been left in the machine from a previous guest, which suggests that insufficient care was taken when preparing the property. The water tank in the coffee machine was extremely dirty, with visible algae present. There was no hot water available at the kitchen sink or the bathroom basin. Although the shower did provide hot water, the water pressure was poor and the shower fixture (electric shower) itself was not properly cleaned. In addition, the wardrobe door was not securely fitted. Inside the wardrobe there were dirty pillows left on the floor and the space was generally untidy. I did mention the coffee machine to the host. They sent someone round to deal with it, but after seeing the state of the water tank, I decided there was no way I would drink coffee from that machine. After my departure, I raised my concerns again. The host replied that the property had been professionally cleaned before my arrival, a statement I do not agree with. They also said that "the items within the wardrobe, including spare pillows, are provided for guest convenience and are stored as intended". Please see my photos of the stored items.

The apartment is beautiful and comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen,it’s very well located in the West End, close to the subway.

No extra guests. The days were very cold, so the apartment wasn’t particularly warm, but the temperature was still comfortable.

Dog friendly, spacious apartment, not far from Glasgow centre. Easy to find with clear check in information.

Bed was pretty uncomfortable, low quality bedding and furnishings. For the price I would have expected more. It wasn’t cleaned thoroughly - some insects squished on wall / ceiling, soap scum in the shower, thick cobwebs in a few places.
